The new kind of 'London Wall' is uprising and Simon Jenkins is right! The
cluster of probably some 'empty' skyscrapers will change dramatically the
'face', the views and future of London. Change is not always a good thing.
Especially as it seems without having at least a 'proper vision' of
London's future skyline, which could be 'shared' with the world before it's
been actually done. Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried

Yes, and in order to have a view of the River Thames there is no need for
tall buildings to be on the banks of the river. The Shard is setback 250m
from the bank Thames and enjoys excellent views without dominating the
river. As you say, a future vision is necessary.
