Why isn't there a HDMI slot? I have one of these at home and I want to use dual monitor ( monitor +tv). but there's no HDMI slot so I can't do it :( is there any way I can? with USB or something?

Yes, the motorized Flip-Out TV mount with remote control is in prototype stage and should be released the end of June along with the Flip-Around TV mount. The motorized Flip-Around TV mount will be at the HITEC Show in Baltimore, Maryland June 26-28

When mounting the arm, do you want the base directly in the center of your desk, or is there some offset to the arm once you have a monitor attached?

Mounted mine last night. The center of the pole is about 4 inches offset to the right. It really doesn't matter too much where you mount it, because with the right adjustment of height and distance the arm can get the monitor to the center.

I just mounted mine around two weeks ago, first in the middle of the table, then to the side. It really depends on what area you want it to be operational in. For me, I found the arm to be more adjustable when mounted a bit to the side, so its a bit stretched all the time, but its a personal preference.

I originally wrote the same thing as you, that the normal version is better because of the weight, but he didnt answer anything else than thanks to the other guy for recommending the HD version - so i just wrote again that it wouldnt fit (it being too light for the mount) - wasnt the right choice of words, though. We completely agree that it should mount without problems using Vesa.
