COLON, PANAMA BUS TOUR AUGUST 5, 2010 Part 1
We took a bus tour of the Colon, Panama and the surrounding countryside/jungle. This was an excursion from the Carnival Freedom cruise ship we was on.
Terrible tour guide! Guide portray colon in a negative light and also
try to make a case that colon people are lazy. Some of her remarks are very
unprofessional - She really needs to learn how to show case our city the
right way- Her English is limited maybe is the reason that she isn’t able
to describe our city and us the right way. Colon is a great city with a
lot of challenges and some room for growth .However, we are the most
productive city in Panama and we are ´proud to be Colonites
excuse me who ever made this tour is a stupid ignorant person from the city
of panama because they are fighting hard to get the tour business to panama
city where she is telling a hold bunch of lies to the tourist about
colon...We have the best of the best of panama everything we have that is
good comes from colon city...the cooking, the style, the culture , the
views, the economy, every single thing come from us, so she is a very
ignorant woman and she should never be allowed to make a tour
SHE IS A LIER. I was born in the states but were from COLON, and my
grandfater worked on ship for 35 years. Colon is poor because there are no
jobs for the afro-panamanians. They country has and will only jkeep the
jobs in the Euro-panamanian community. They only ue the ports in the afro
community, but the people are not wanted. Panamanians are hard workers if
given a job and fair wages. WE ARE NOT LAZY. And everything good comes from
COLON!!!!
This is bullshit. this tour guide should be fired asap for being so
condescending. I love how she faile dto mention any positives. my family
son colonenses and this whole" the people don't wish to work that live
here" is so wrong and insulting I can't even deal. She should research the
politics of the city that keep those people stuck there before she goes to
insult them.
I would like to know who she is trying to fool? The reason Colon is in the
deplorable condition is due to the GOVERNMENT, Colon was known as the
Golden Coast (La Tazita de Oro.) Colon generates all the money that is used
to develop all the other provinces. No money is spent on the City of Colon.
It is funny that as the bus transits through the City of Colon the Tour
Guide began to talk about the the jungle and the monkeys. Also, she said
that people who work here do not want to live here and people who lives
here do not want to work. I hope she is not a colonensa. This is sad.

No vengan con vainas, la guial del tour exajera pero to el mundo sabe que
Colon es peligroso mi gente, hay que componese y abri los ojos, disque we
have the best be real esta bien se orgulloso y vaina pero se realista. Y q
viva to Panama!
i'm barbadian and this lady is the worst i hate to say it but they will
never like us black people jah will remove them from this earth very soon
respect to all my black panama people jah loves you
Not too shabby that little city of Colon. Charming and has its own
personality, unlike the capital, which could be any city in the
world.Thanks for the tour.
We will be on the Equinox in January 2015 and stopping in Colon. I'm glad I
found your video and will check others of that cruise. I'm torn between the
X Canal excursion and a tour to the Locks and and rainforest. It looks like
no shade on the "ferry" and a VERY slow trip. Someone also told me the
ferry is not air conditioned. Too bad you had rain but it least no sun
burn. Would you recommend the ferry (did you get to stop at any info
center? ) or should I go the air conditioned tour bus to the Observation
deck? And, again, thanks for the video!
Do not get me wrong. ships excursions you are protected by the ship, they will not leve you stranded, private outside of ship tours, you risk being left behind, ship does not wait for you, if late.Whatever choice you make, up to you to enjoy it.I been on the Celebrity Eclipse same as equinox, and reflection 99% the same ship..Been topuerto rico, st marten, st kix on theequinoxbeen to th Puerto rico st martin, st Thomas Reflection.last year been to stlucie, Barbados, Granada, caracaue, aruba, on the eqinox, or eclipse.Videos' onlineWorking on this yeas ships video,
+fishycomics There is a 3 hour video of the whole January 2014 cruise showing the lock. The prifive tour I'm looking into is a van, not a bus (My Friend Mario) and got super high ratings. I just think I'll be board. I've been through a lock in China years ago. Also curious what other ports you took tours in. Seems like you take a lot of cruises. Are there other yiutubes of your Equinox cruise?
I lost all my footage of this cruise. The trip we taken I Highly recommend. you get to pass through the locks about three of them. no you do not go to the info center but pass the bus ride was long. most safest trip this way, as I was told by my late Uncle to not go any other route, in Colon. you have shade and drinks and an indoor part, there are a few ferries, you have to make sure you get on the right one. I enjoyed this ever so much and suggest looking into it. I get on that ferry. and touch the Locks as you level off 29 minutes per lock, about three of them
