When you are going downhill and do not have your foot on the accelerator,
it switches automatically into EV mode (battery only) no matter what speed
you are doing. So consumption is zero. In BRAKE it also charges the
battery. If the battery charge becomes too high, the ECU will automatically
take it out of B and start the engine to create "normal" engine braking.
Hello zebra ! The aim here was to record the B-Brake function of e-CVT
gearbox, the engine braking of the vehicle, and the zero fuel consumption
with the engine on high RPM’s (rounds per minute) ! Throughout the time the
vehicle was in sharp downhill (going down) ! I hope I was understandable !
hey Teo, it's understood. thank you for these test-videos. my old car broke
down (again) and your videos convinced me to buy this car... there are
quite a lot of them secondhand and they are cheap enough here in Belgium.
hello Teo, can you please give a short summary of what is happening here? I
think you accelerate to 120 km/h and than used BRAKE. But the speed remains
steady at 100-120km/h. Is this because the road was going down ?
