@dancingflame24 I completely disagree. Alice Cooper may have inspired many metal bands today but he's the pioneering king of shock rock not metal. Metal can be linked back to as far as Blue Cheer but the true creators of metal have to be Black Sabbath. I reckon Alice sees metal in a rather narrow-minded way thinking that NWOBHM for example Judas Priest and Iron Maiden and the early thrash bands like Megadeth and Metallica are the only examples of metal. He doesn't really count other sub-genres.

He's probably talking about the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem. Lead singer (think his name was Dead...) commited suicide by shotgun. guitarist finds body, drives to local shop, buys disposable camera, takes pictures, eats a little bit of the brain (hence the myth), sends pieces of the skull to members of black metal bands around Europe he deems 'worthy', THEN calls the police. Although this is of course according to the guitarist (who was later killed to death by another band member)

Chillax boy, it's just the internet and if your bleeding heart can't take the wank, I suggest you get off it. You're probably a tad afraid that you lack the social skills to successfully interact with people but I'm sure there are courses or something for you to take. @happyjellyfish So, why are you such an asshole on these Buzzcoks videos? On another one you were picking on a girl for a misplaced comma that was, more than likely, a fucking typo. No one love you? User name containing the word "happy" slightly ironic? You're a douche bag, man, and none of your comment are interesting or clever in the least. Why don't you just watch the program and try to refrain from commenting? I know that it will be tough, as this is your only social interaction.

Alice Cooper is not only a great rocker (whichever genre you care to class him as) but he is also one of the few legendry rock god type stars to come on to NMTB and actually make us laugh. Entwhistle form the whop was the biggest disappointment since the crucifixtion and Jimmy Cliff was so anonymous during his show (despite Lamarr worshipping him) that he was booked via yellow pages.

Some Black Metal fan got so pissed off about a comment that my wife left in the comments of this video a year or so back that he posted 5 lengthy comments to her profile page about the atributes of the genre and then BLOCKED HER SO THAT SHE COULDN'T RESPOND LOL. Big fucking, black metal listening, makeup wearing, dressed in all black man that he is, and all!

haha! im a massive fan of alice--it was the first big venue band i ever saw live but i still cant help but roll my eyes when he goes on about modern metal bands being commercial like he didnt do that with "trash". i always say to my dad how i wish he might do something less commercial, get back with his original band and do something really amazing!

Doesnt surprise me, Alice isnt a fan of black metal really, he thinks they are funny to watch, as it all is, a image, just like Alice says himself, he always talk about the character (stageperson) Cooper in third person. He has such a great charm, I'm sure he could make a song out of the names in the telephonebook and i would be awesome :P

For the love of god, I was answering to a guy that said metallica was the only real band of the 80's, and of course it isn't that's why I pointed out those bands, megadeth and maiden are 2 of my favourite bands, how wouldn't I know they weren't metal... I know what metal is, and metallica isn't the only real metal band of the 80's

they said they ate him and used the bones, but its not fact. and he called himself Dead. he tried to cut his wrist and couldnt do it so he blew his brains out with a note that basicaly said, im ending it, knife didnt work, sorry bout all the blood every where. they DID take polaroids of him and used it as an album cover.

@Metalgiraffe22 On the contrary, no one knows it better. He created it. It's his RIGHT to say it- and he speaks the truth. Metal is commercialised bullshit. Angry screaming and an absurd image is just a poor mockery and a sad attempt to mimic the shows alice used to do. It isn't boundary pushing OR new.
