EVER-BLESSED IN INDIA: No slumdogs, no millionaires, countless beautiful people
I spent five perfect weeks in South India, December '08 into January '09. The trip could not have been better. People were kind, beautiful, passionate, resilient, ...
What a beautiful video...the photographic imagery is wonderful. What
beautiful people! What a beautiful song Pete! Keep making beautiful art
like this! Bless you for bringing this to us! Blessings & Peace to All,
Dana PS- have you ever been to Bethlehem in Occupied Palestine. Go
there...you will find beautiful, hospitable, kind people as well.
Even though it looks like some are less fortunate, living on the streets,
the way you shot this and your very moving song captured it in a way that
you feel compassion and feel the soul of the people there. I love the
little one at the very end with the big eyes :)
Beautiful video -- I was also in India in December :) and found the warmest
welcome possible and amazingly beautiful people, the family I stayed with
and the people I met there will always be treasures in my heart. Blessings,
Katherine
I'm saving this as a favourite Pete - if I'm feeling the SLIGHTEST bit
down, or anyone I know is feeling blue - this is the perfect antidote.
Brilliant! .....and such beautiful faces - I could lose myself in those
smiles.
Bless you for showing the India I experienced and fell completely in love
with. Perfect video, perfect music, thank you for your thoughtfulness and
sensitivity. Namaste, Melinda
You got that great talent taking people with you on a trip through places
they have never seen...Wonderful smooth sound in your voice. Like it a lot!

Spent 5 years of my life in the UAE. I'm honestly ashamed to tell ppl I
lived there. When I mention it, ppl just talk about the pretty buildings,
but I try to tell them that I've seen these things. Slave labour isn't
exactly a secret if you lived in the UAE.
Whenever I look at the Burj Khalifa, I see it as nothing more than oil
money (it takes a lot of effort to be born on top of oil!) and slave
labour. Here in Toronto, the CN tower was built on the backs of hardworking
Canadians.
Toronto is built and is still being built by immigrants from Europe, Asia,
and the rest of the world who can proudly call themselves Canadians.
Went to Dubai 13 years ago was different I kinda liked it. Having said that
I went just 1 year ago and hated it completely fake want to be city where
Arabs Leo called sheikhs look down upon you and people living in a shit
hole I swear. These people so called Arabs say they are Arabs but are
fakes. There from the saud family line. The real Arabs where the companions
of the prophet may the peace and blessings be upon them
hypocritical british people , just because a middle eastern country
prospering you now accuse them of ill treating workers just because the
white man is not benefiting from it, you go to china people are getting
paid slave wages but its okay coz the white man is benefiting from the
goods that come out of china ..so now that the white man is getting nothing
from dubai he tries to dis-credit them ..wtf
America is a classic example of where Britain will be in relation to india
in a few decades. You ruled and beat America too, but like India, finally
cornered you and kicked you out. Britain didnt decide to leave, world war 2
left it with no resources to fight back. crack a book once in a while.
Never thought very highly of the middle east to start with, just a bunch of
child raping goat fuckers drunk on petro dollars. these dumb shits cannot
put a nut and a bolt together till a migrant worker shows them how. will
stick to London, Paris, New York for a vacation. Good job panorama.
How so, it makes more sense to make such a wage while living next to your
loved ones and be relaxed a few minute here and there as time orientation
there is somewhat relaxed. But there, no family, crammed room, same wage,
very restricted movement, how is it the same?
Regardless of white or not these days when everyone made lots of money were
before 2008 are gone. Many expats have lost a lot of money and their jobs.
No one is making easy money now in Dubai except of course the local
nationals. That boom is over.
Try sharing a common area with 50- 100 ppl then see how u can keep up. How
about working with not enough food & demotivated, you can NOT even send
money back home. See how u feel when u get treated like a dog!
can say the same for you, you following me now ? anyways will say it here
too, stop looking at the past, but being british, thats all you can look
at, you have nothing new to talk about anyway.
must be tough for a dickhead pom like you to see all your industries owned
by the germans, Malaysians , indians, chinese....do you fuckers have
anything to be proud of ?
+Graciele Lemke Green So how many times have you tried to clean things with
an empty stomach after 18 hours of work? I don't believe you are human you
spineless cunt.
It's sad how they treat people from Pakistan ect like they are second class
citizens no human rights at all :(

@anam3ahmad I think I was misunderstood. I'm not saying that they should
not get better facilities and cleaner living conditions. However, their
current condition is dangerous for their own health and even that of the
whole city. So I would imagine if I was living in a place like this, I will
try my best to get my neighbors to agree on cleaning our part of the area
and so on. A Divide-and-Conquer way to keep it hygienic aside from
demanding better facilities.
unfortunately if they lose all their financial assets and go bankrupt its
the taxpayers that bail out the banks that lent them the money in the first
place. The only thing they lose is money, and theyre not even held fully
accountable for that... the people working there have lost their human
rights. The world is mad.
I really didn't think there was anywhere greedier than America, but
congratulations Dubai!!!! You guys REALLY know how to fuck over employees,
what a bunch of fuck wads....... I hope all of those companies lose their
asses financially, they all deserve it!!!!!
how exactly would you go about cleaning a river of shit that you had to
create a system of stepping stones to climb over, with no taps, and not
enough money to buy adequate food let alone cleaning products? I guess you
could scoop it up with your hands...
I kind of wonder though how do the camps they live in get that dirty? I
think if they live there they should try and be like any other community or
neighborhood and keep it clean (not to liter the streets, throw garbage
everywhere, etc..)

I am not being funny but I think the quality of life for Indians would
change for the better if they split the country up into independent states.
At least each independent could focus on there own economies and create a
trading union just like the EU. JUst look at Singapore.
