How to clean intercooler in less than 15 mins :-)
1. Detach charge air hoses from turbo and intake, also remove all plastic pipes and sensors if any. Place a bucket under the lower hose. 2. Pour acetone into the ...
Great video! However, I would hesitate to use acetone with plastic or
potential flame/spark hazards:
"If you were to put acetone on plastic, it is possible that it would eat
through the plastic material. This mainly depends on the type of plastic
you put it on, since some are stronger than others. It's best that acetone
not be put in plastic containers due to the risk that it will break down
the container and leak.
...Due to its corrosive nature, you should not put acetone on plastic or
other substances that may be sensitive to its effects.
It is important to use acetone carefully since it is highly flammable and
its vapors are heavy and travel easily from room to room. If these vapors
come in contact with any open flame or spark, it may cause an explosion or
fire. For this reason, acetone should not be used around fireplaces and
other risky areas. It is also best not to use acetone on surfaces that are
made of plastic, as this could lead to leaks and potential hazards if the
substances travels to an area with an open flame.
...only use a brushless fan since other varieties may create small sparks
that could lead to a fire or explosion when running too close to acetone.
There are certain situations in which putting acetone on plastic or in
plastic containers will do no harm. Certain grades of plastic, like
polypropylene, are designed to withstand corrosive substances, so using
acetone with these will not cause any reaction. You can find which plastics
may be safe by checking the bottom of any plastic item or container for a
symbol and the number five. This symbol is usually the circular arrows used
on recycling containers and recyclable products."
Lithium-Air Technology has a Fair Chance to Become Main Energy-Delivery Platform
Michael Thackeray in the Electrochemical Energy Storage Department is at the opinion that challenges lithium-air technology faces are engineering as well as ...
I wouldnt waste too much time on making sure its not flammable.. Just make
sure it holds a lot of energy and that it can be re charged many times
without crapping out
Obviously nobody wants a explosive battery, but as far as looking for a
batter that wont burst into flames when drilled and such is a waste of
time..Who the hell drills batteries?
Dont leave your cell phone in the car on a hot summers day, and dont drill
it, and youll be fine.. Stupid people always worried about stupid shit

+jamble7k would you need to if you have a balance connector plugged in while charging? because i have a charger where you have to have the balance connector plugged in
I am making a version of this but I am using all cement board (no bricks).
I'm also planning on making some smaller sections inside to hold each
battery and put sand bags on top on these sections to put out any fire
asap. The whole thing will be in a larger bunker in case the first
compartments or sand method fails. What glue could I use to stick the
cement board together. Gorilla glue works well to stick but in tests it
loses strength quickly when heated with a flame. What else could I try that
is cheap and easy? Thanks for any help!
+BestLeblancEUNE Thanks. I ended up using a fire sealant and so far its worked fine. Tested by burning some paper inside and it works good so far. If I put a blowtorch to the glue it quickly weakens so it is not 100% fireproof. I use the sand bag on top method so it should how up long enough to melt the bag.
wow!!! This show was probably one of the most important one I have ever
watched. I knew these batteries had the possibility of catching fire, but
NEVER did I know to that extent.
I fly the Phantom 2+ Just went into my Gun Safe, and pulled out one of my
ammo boxes, and am using setting up as you showed in show. To test the
batteries that I have, is there a particular device to use, or the one you
were using does all sizes?
Guys, as usual Great job!!!!

+John Kaddouri Even with reasonable sized holes, an ammo box is still a bomb! All that's needed is for the battery to produce enough gas to pressurize the box enough.
+Optionalcoast74 I've blown up multiple ammo boxes with old batteries to prove this point lol, either way it's still a fire in a pressurized container.
+John Kaddouri Quick note if your using military grade ammo boxes they're air tight so if there is a fire the pressure will build up until it blows the top off, I have small holes to relieve the pressure.
