The loans were given when Kingfisher was doing 'well'? Only a complete moron can believe that! Kingfisher Airlines did not do 'well' even for a *single* day in all the years that it existed. It was a loss making company from day one. Of course, banks do give loans to loss making companies, but only in return for a security that is viable and which will enable the recovery of the amount lent in the event of a default. The Kingfisher brand name and logo was never worth INR 8000 crores. Either the banks were arm twisted into lending Mallya the money or they have sc**wed up big time.

Can Common Man get the Loan without Valid Documents , Assurance and Assets given to Banks ? Farmers are committing suicides for mere Rs 10,000/ - loan from Banks and Banks harass their families for repayment and here Rs 9000 Crores were whisked off without guarantee is very surprising . Bank Officials must be sacked and imprisoned for minimum 5 to 7 years and should be kept with common prisoners . Going forward , Sanction of Loans( > Rs 100 Crores and above ) should not be limited to Banks Officials alone and Cross Functional Team of 6 to 7 members from Various Positions ( Pvt , Pub , State Gov't , Central Gov't , Bank Officials , Reserve Bank Governor etc ) should be given authority for sanction of loans . We should learn from America , German and other European Banks ).
