it's not fast. not meant to be. may be 15-20mph. depends on the gearing.

@bckillick well my friend.. I have 2 suggestions. The cubby wheels are a bit small.. def an upgrade is worth exploring. There are larger foamy wheels for it.. cant remember the size.. but they are available.. then theres these pontoons.. which are great, but may be a bit sticky in shorter grass. Great for water, Ice, and Snow though.. as you can see! I dont know if Ill pull them off the cubby... I may just have to build another cub with wheels.. cause these pontoons are too much fun!

@killer84s10 - When i was learning I actually took the time to lay a thin layer of packing tape over the entire plane and wing. The tape held the foam together during my beginning flights. Watch my other scale plane "super cub" videos.. i think its #6 where I explain the taping. You can compare it to my scale planes # 1 video.. - my first flight ever

@jmey107 the LP version is sweet man.. i have my first flight on youtube here... check out my RC plane series and watch the cub videos.. it may help your learning curve. My first flight I snapped the nose off. Your about to have a fun time bro..! Make sure when you go out, not to go out in too much wind.. it will slam the plane around for us newbs

good advice dj, and again awsome flight , your getting really good at flying the cub. i cant wait for drier weather here in the fraser valley so i can get my cub out...do you think the pontoons work better than wheels or should a fella stick with whats already there?

@jnrocks1 oh my friend.. its not the original electronics in this bird. Shes been upgraded considerably. No more port for the drop box.. lol.. I should get out and fly more of this plane though.. its a beauty fun plane to land and take off with

Do people who live up north have more fun than Texans, I wonder. It's been a hellish summer..100+ degrees and too windy. We are lucky to get an hour in before sunset to fly. This sure looks like the way to go!! Terrific video!

Heh - I put the wheels on and used my skating path as a runway. Now there's a challenge... learning to line it up. I have a few videos that I took just by elastic-banding my cell phone to the plane (same plane)...

@djmedic2008 yea, i have the firebird freedom, but it was not very good or controllable in the air. I have flown on the sim a bunch of times and yes this plane does not handle great in the wind.

@runiemage99 no advantage.. hes saying he wants to destroy them... lol... geez... Im supposing a DX system from spektrum may suit your needs.. but an entry level one. My DX7 was $600 CDN.
