When I did some things with the California Northern to Cortena in 2006, we took 83 cars with only one GP15. Mind you, it smelled like burning traction motors the whole way, and the sander ended up sticking open once stopped, but, we made it successfully. I have a video on here somewhere of a switch maneuver we did on the CFNR.

@JetMechMA: They're making a small comeback as shoving platforms. I've seen them in Commerce, Roseville, Oxnard, and South San Francisco recently. End Of Train Device (EOTD), better known as FRED (Flashing Rear End Device) replaced the caboose, and the conductor rides in the cab instead.

Oh yes! I was enjoying that burrito too right before hopping on 532. :-) Whenever this crap weather breaks up, give me a holler if you want to get together to shoot the WS Local now, Swooshie SD45-2 looks pretty good to me.

No tripod. I rely on image stabilization of my camera. If you look at my older videos, where I used a camera without IS, the shaking is more noticeable when I zoom, or when there are wind gusts.

Is the engineer talking to the UP detector? he said something like...."keep getting stepped on" for two radios keying up at the same time, but I thought the defect detectors were automated.

@JetMechMA: Nope, the dispatcher is the one who said "you keep getting stepped on" and he was having a conversation with another train in his territory. The defect detectors are automated.

Actually It's a Nathan P-3 the M3 plays a more mellow cord and is very rare to find in active service in the United States other than on tourist railroads

I almost always see a tank car on the end for this job regardless of train length, so it's probably a regular customer delivery.

Evie cradling Jacobs head at the end is so heartbreaking but comforting at the same time. I love their twin brother/sister relationship, mainly due to having a twin myself.

I'm literally fangirling their relationship... I feel really sad for Jacob (he's a Rook, he'll get better) ... Syndicate has been a great game in a while and I hope to see Jacob and Evie in future games.

what think u did of the DLC.. i thought it was rather disappointing.. not because of length but the story overall.. i was hoping for a better story of The Ripper given his rich terrifying deep complex twisted history and the fact he was never caught nor was the case solved..

+YouNicIce I found it quite good overall. And since it's a DLC, they couldn't have dived much deeper into the story of Jack the Ripper due to a short story campaign.

I keep seeing people claim that the rhyme about Mary is about Queen Mary also known as Bloody Mary, but the apparent fact is either Mary Tudor or Mary Queen of Scots might be the Mary they're talking about, apparently it didn't originate in either woman's time. Interestingly both women were rivals with Queen Elizabeth in their time.
