This has been changed. I've been there 2 days ago, and the story is now on
a bigger screen. ***SPOILERS*** Then you will investigate the 5th victim
with the inspector. In the end you get in the bar to hide for a storm, when
the barkeeper (A live actor) tells you that all the 5 victims went to that
bar before they died. Once the storm turns off all the lights, Jack the
Ripper himself jumps through the window towards you!! (A huge Hologram,
created by stroboscopes) xD
I just been today with my college class, and when Jack popped up i screamed
"NO STAY AWAY" I thought they were going to do that flashing light thing
repeatedly and he would appear in different parts of the room each time,
including close to me :S THANK GOD he didn't, THANK GOD
@xcoolsophx He didnt follow you he just turned all the lights of and then
there was a loud crash and then he came out with a massive knife, because
there was no space to sit i had to sit on the bar stool like REALLY close
to him his knife almost touched my face!!!!!
Jack came out and stated at me straight in the eyes, he said "I was so
pretty that he could eat me up." And it when black and he was gone! Turn
around... He was behind me with a knife.. I screamed so loud, I almost
deafen my best friend.
@xcoolsophx ull be absolootly fine!!!! trust me.......i was a absoloot
wimp, i thought i was gonna faint when i walked in, but when i got in i
loved it to bits. 119 people went in and 1 person out of the whole yr didnt

throught the whole time.IT WAS BRILLIANT!!!!
me, lucy, amy and nicola at the london dungeons. you cant see anything, but there wasn't that much to see in this particular room- it's the guy talking about jack ...
I went to the Dungeon this summer and this was my favorite part! at some
point, the actor got all scared and stuff and at the end he just stared at
ME, of all people, saying that i looked just like one of the victims -
crept me out a little....hmm, don't remember the name of the victim,
though. It was a really exciting experience and i would do it again, if i
had the chance!!!
Uhhh god went on a school trip and our group ended up spilt up 1 group was
me, Elhana and Amy. We had to get out before this part we knew what was
coming thanks to Ryan which made us quit. Amy didn't want to, but me and
Elhana did got out and we were shaking! Although we did do most of it, but
me and Amy were angry coz we missed the drop!
Haha I went here when I was 11 and sat down with my sister on the two
chairs in the middle of the room. Anticipating something spooky, (like the
lights go out and jack the rippers comes behind me) I stood up and went to
the far right hand corner. Little did I know I was to have a mini heart
attack a few moments later after seeing Jack the Ripper staring at me
holding up a knife...sure the actor was delighted to see the horror on my
face
This is a lot less creepy with TV casino playing in the background XD. Also
I looooove the moving lamp in this scene... how the hell do they do that?
Can't remember whether or not Dusty Pete was there on my last visit to
Tooley St but judging from this video his performance was great! :D
I was sitting right there in the front and when he popped out I fkin ran
out the damn door and I was soo terrified I couldn't be alone till I got
out of that place

THE LONDON DUNGEON - Hangman's Drop (now removed), 1998
This is where, in 2010, you are in the pub where the spirit of Jack the Ripper jumps out. One day I was working in this section and I stuck my head through the ...
@MrStickman1997 Aaaah! I think I know what's going on now - all you
commentators are talking about a RIDE that YOU, THE PUBLIC get on at the
end, right? I know - I've been on it. I wasn't there when I worked there in
1998. No no, THIS video clip is nothing to do with that ride - this is
where the customers stand around a wooden pit and then suddenly a hanged
body drops through - it was gone in 2008. Hopefully that's put this one to
bed.
@MattyIsSupaa Since when? When I last visited in the summer of 2008, this
section had been replaced with a poor rendering of the interior of the Ten
Bells Pub being haunted by the ghost of Gentleman Jack, with several of the
actors there doing some obscure scene with things flying around behind the
bar. If the hangman's drop is there, it's been reinstated since then.
@TheSamAndrewEvans It's meant to be the struggle bringing the condemned man
to the scaffold. The bit with the 'child' is bloody awful, and we always
thought it was. The only discernable words from above are 'Come on then,
mate - something to tell me grandchildren; was you really Jack the Ripper?'
in the moment before the trap door opens.
@Henners1991 July 2008 is when I was last there and it definitely was NOT
there at the time. Having worked there for a whole year (albeit a decade
before), I knew the layout of the building extremely well. Maybe in the
meantime they decided this new 'Ten Bells' scene was a bit crap (and it
was) and they put the hangman back in.
@coasterollie Ah! You've just made everything make sense! So if you don't
go on the ride, you go to a different room at the side and see the
hangman's drop, right? That'll be why people are saying it's there and why
I didn't see it in 2008. I would say I feel a right berk but I think I can
be excused because I never saw it!
@GuildfordGhost Kind of, well it's in the pre-batching area where the actor
will tell you about NewGate prison? They're walking around and doing a
scary talk, and then it falls down while they're talking. Makes you jump,
It's not so much an attraction. Perhaps they didn't have that station
manned the day you visited?
@Henners1991 OK, then. I guess what I put initially still stands. It wasn't
there in 2008 and that area had been replaced by a scene using the actors
about the ghost of JTR haunting The Ten Bells. It really was substandard so
they might've reinstated the Hangman's Drop from my day.
i would like to go to the london dungeons i have never been i remeber going
to the madame tussuads chamber of horrors before they changed it it used to
massive back then i should know i had to run through it because my grandson
was scared
@GuildfordGhost They've still got this. They've just moved it into the room
before you go on the drop tower. As when they say you can decide to skip it
if you want it drops in the corner of the room making people jump.
