Hi iv been looking at you tube and people have been getting 9HP+ 3 phase
motors to run on 1 phase power, im trying to find out if i can do it and
what i need and the prices, i wish to build a wood floor sander with 9HP+
but restricted to 1 phase in the building i wish to use the machines in,
can it be done hear is the link to people who are running 3 phase machines
on 1 phase power .

I have a Dayton model 3kw28b industrial motor. I have it set up for low
voltage according to your youtube video. It is a "Y" connection. I plan to
use the motor to create energy, but have no idea which wires are positive,
negitive, & ground. Which wires match which discription? This is my only
problem.

Clever, but since you have to hook up an external device... You could just
buy a cheap VOM meter from Harbor Freight for around $3 bucks that fits in
your palm that does even more... Got to give you credit for the creative
thinking... Another suggestion, a simple cable that houses all the
components and doesnt have to be measured using a tone frequency output of
the the mic jack... If you figure it out so that it can display higher
voltages say 5 to 24 volts it would be more useful in a car with a dead
battery situation. Then market the cable and application together... Just a
