You do not have to look at GOP policy very hard to know it is tissue paper thin populist lip service that only serves the think tanks that write it.

That is the problem, democrats run on slogans but their policies are weak or simply don't work. Mainly when one look into their polices they fall apart. Running on emotions can only last so long, eventually the general public will get smart.

Those who would normally vote democratic, are mostly moderate. We do not vote for a "package", which is what you get when you vote Republican or Democrat. There are gay people that are against abortion...there are Caucasians that are against blocking immigration...there are men who are against a lesser status of women...there are atheists that are against the Democratic idea of Christianity. I could go on and on and on, but do I really need to? We have a mind, and we use it! There is no "package", just reality.

I am a moderate and I vote against democrats. When I vote for a republican it is because they are the lesser of two evils when comparing the republican to a democrat at the federal level. Democrats just mess things up even more.

I'd much rather have to fight republicans who admit to being conservative, than fight democrats who fucking openly lie that they're liberal. I'd vote against almost any democrat right now. I'd vote for a LIBERAL, but voting for a democrat is literally much worse for liberalism than voting for a republican - the republican is openly a clown, the democrat says they're on your side, while doing everything they can for the republicans - and in so doing, they cause republican disaster, and then, they get fucking blamed for the conservative clusterfuck they dove into, and called TOO LIBERAL so they get.... MORE CONSERVATIVE. Thank god those underhanded fucks will lose - better to have a bad guy who tells you how it is, at least you can mount an attack on that. Democrats don't WANT to talk about democracy or what the american people want or liberalism, because none of those are things they want to ENACT.

How can you possibly get people on board with you when your best defense is "yeah, we're the more liberal option - but don't worry, we're the good liberals, who are actually far to the right of any fair representation of center"? The alleged liberals don't believe in being liberal, how can they convince anyone it's a good thing? It's always like they start with a moderately liberal statement, and then admit that they're wrong and they'll grow up and stop playing make believe and go along with the mature republicans.
