Hi Ericka
My case is a bit different, I recently got my green card & SSN and I'll be
migrating to the US by the final quarter of 2016. I've narrowed my search
to either Austin or DFW, TX or Raleigh/Durham, NC. Although I'll have no
credit history, I have a couple of US bank accounts totaling just over
$55,000 which represents my life savings. With my lack of a credit history
is it advisable that I present these bank statements to any potential
landlord while offering to pay 2-3 moths rent in advance?
Thanks for your reply, I was concerned that I wouldn't get an apt without a credit history since I've heard that credit trumps cash in the US and that Austin property managers are very picky because of the daily influx.
your bank account and job offer will get you in a ton of spots. all those cities are great choices lived in Raleigh and Austin. Austin summer time is booming so choose your city wisely. Raleigh has a ton of growth as well.
