Regarding Mary being the Mother of God I would refer you to the council of
Ephesus in 431 when this truth was declared a dogma. It was already a
tradition in the church to consider Mary the Mother of Jesus Christ the God
Man. She was not just a mother of the human part of Jesus but she is the
Mother of the whole theandric person of Jesus. In St. John's Gospel she is
often referred to as 'His Mother'. Please do not let these matters confuse
you. Just pray to Mary and she is sure to help you in all your needs. She
is a faithful mother and she obeys Jesus when he tells her 'Woman this is
your Son' The beloved disciple in St. John's gospel has no name because he
is you and me standing by the cross of Jesus. Thank you for uploading this
beautiful chant. It is so prayerful
+Sr. Mariella Agius So true ! I was born into a protestant family. What a poor secte ! For me it was a long way to understand that the eternal Grace appears in two forms male and female both having same importance. A new feature you will find in the Integral Yoga, which proves that our human existence is not the end of the creation and that the homo sapiens will be transformed slowly into a higher being (homo angelus) just as the present human species has evolved from a being which could jump from tree to tree having no intelligence.I don't belong to any religion, but know for certain that the Divine Mother is constantly with you and me and that SHE is the source of music. All music (and art) come from HER and the musicians never create, only record what the receive through their intuition from HER..
+oOOOohoOOOo
Hey listen to me, don't push Islam here! Christ is the Messiah, Mohammed
didn't die for our sins on the cross although we DIDN'T deserve it! If you
are happy with Islam and its teachings then go and practice it. Every
person will be judged by G-d separately! I love God and his son Jesus Who
died for my sins! No other "prophet" did that.
You say Islam accepted all books including Christian Bible, Jesus Our Lord , why then Arab Muslims and other Muslims go into churches and kill Christians during the prayer? In Egypt, Alexandria Muslims killed Coptic Christians, in Syria they cut off Christians' head right on camera? Do you think GOD will tolerates that? Your religion teaches murder! Your religion is false!
Where are your minds people ..! the truth is great God is not his children
or wives or sisters ..! and Is the only one that created the universe ,
and, we must all of us human beings that we respect our Creator to forgive
us Because some of us didn't want lighting of minds ,,So all facts in Holy
great Quran it's last of the Holy great books (in Example) The last stages
of teaching to Education
, At the end In fact Sound mind in a sound life And life becomes beautiful.
+oO0OohoO0Oo St John Damascene asks about the validity of the koran to a muslim prison gaurd... "When we ask again: ‘How is it that when he enjoined us in this book of yours not to do anything or receive anything without witnesses, you did not ask him: “First do you show us by witnesses that you are a prophet and that you have come from God, and show us just what Scriptures there are that testify about you”’—they are ashamed and remain silent. [Then we continue:] ‘Although you may not marry a wife without witnesses, or buy, or acquire property; although you neither receive an ass nor possess a beast of burden unwitnessed; and although you do possess both wives and property and asses and so on through witnesses, yet it is only your faith and your scriptures that you hold unsubstantiated by witnesses. For he who handed this down to you has no warranty from any source, nor is there anyone known who testified about him before he came. On the contrary, he received it while he was asleep.’" //orthodoxinfo.com/general/stjohn_islam.aspx
+oO0OohoO0Oo we dont need to resort to emotional conclusions here. historically, Christ walked the earth, even muslims know this. He sent forth apostles to evangelize to every nation. after the known world knew about Christ for the most part, around 600 ad, there were plenty of people coming up with their own conclusions about God. conclusions with no precedence in history or actual events. fanciful thinking. imagination. the arians did this. they claimed that He was a created being, and merely a very good person. around 600 ad, mohammed (if he existed) talked to an arian, felt very inspired, and began writing the koran, winning converts, and slaying his enemies. claiming to be God's chosen. who said that he was God;s chosen? mohammed and his followers. and not a single soul before them. interestingly, there are pages in the koran that claim to see into heaven where God talks to Jesus and Jesus says that He never claimed to be God, and that it would be ridiculous if He did. this is a blatant imagination on the part of the author, who certainly did not ascend into heaven to witness this conversation. rather, he penned lies to further his own personal agenda, and unforntunately gained many followers. followers who have no problem hating the entire world except for themselves, and even hating neighboring tribes who practically are themselves. 1400 years later, much blood has been shed due to mohammeds dreams. and for what?
+oO0OohoO0Oo islam came long after christianity, and to the best of our knowlege if mohammed did exist, he consulted an arian (christian heritic) monk, and then went on to write the koran which he "received in a dream". the koran, which basically uses parts of the old testament to further the nationalist agenda of the people using it at the time. mohamed the conqueror, as he is known, is recorded to have taken another mans wife under the pretense that he was an "apostle", the wife and the ex husband agreed to it, and mohammed made up a law afterwards that you cannot take another man;s wife.
+Αλέξανδρος Μεϊναρίδης Why do we study the books and the whole truth in the last holy book because all the facts in his book, the Qur'an ??? And God will not punish only those who do not believe , and everyone went to the same warning from God in all the holy books did not believe why the beginning of all extraneous studies and all whole truth in the Koran which means all the holy books do not need to refer to Believe ,Thank you so much and bless you and guide you And everyone.
+Αλέξανδρος Μεϊναρίδης I got it ,, mean you dont believe what God sent for all of us (this is extremely big mistake from the human to God),but you know every Muslim believes in all holy books and books conclusion qoran , I advise you to read the true Christian books ,Which meaning you will be so surprised that the last of the prophets , is Ahmed and you will not lose anything when you read the Qur'an for knowledge thank you .
+Αλέξανδρος Μεϊναρίδης In fact We believe and love all religions i believe to because God says that But the point is I need all people to know what the right Which means that is the last book is the Quran That's it, bless you
+UMBUBA All religions came with love and true Christian religions said ,,in all holy books told us the fact that in last prophets ,, so Be like what you want to be but dont forget that we 're going to live only one life and If we are believers in God and his prophets of course we will be in paradise,, Good luck and bless you
+oO0OohoO0Oo your religion teaches war and hate, that's what kind of religion is yours. It tells if you blow up yourself you'll go to Paradise and have 70 virgins when God isn't about sexual things at all, it's simply unclean!
Wow! Your religion is the most invasive one, do you see Jews or Hindus or Buddhists coming and telling about their religion on Christian websites? What are you going to do next, kill infidels?
Don't push Islam here. This is a Christian website! Christ is the only Messiah! No other prophets died on the cross for our sins! If you are happy with Islam and its teachings then by all means go and practice it and peace be with you! But don't tell me to read Quran when my Lord and Savior suffered for me on the cross and washed my sins!
Greek Orthodox Chant
This is a chant of Greek Orthodox Byzantine music chanted by the Choir of Astoria. With some pictures of greece and greek churches.
+Zedigan Gamer The bliss will end and you will know that you made a mistake someday, you may want to pray that it not be too late.Your sight is darkened by sin.
+Valarious V In my eyes I am living but in your eyes I am sinning. I've heard what you have to say and I've chosen "sin", so please instead of demanding me to change my ways, take pity on me and we will all go on our merry way.
+CausticSodaPop If this where a million dollar question I would be a luck one, but at least I am blessed, because Jesus IS God.That is also why there is so much anti Catholic and anti pope trash floating around as well.God blessPraise Jesus.
+Zedigan Gamer That is because you choose sin, and the deceptions that support them. You do not fear what should be feared, but what should not be feared.
+Zedigan Gamer Then you must build your computers very well. I know how angels and demons work about as well as you understand the workings of a computer, give or take.
+Zedigan Gamer You asked if I could be sure my mind is not playing tricks on me, so I replied that I could ask you that same thing. I stated that I believe in what is in existence such as what I sense. That is, because it is proven to me, and not a trick of the mind. Like the computer you use to type is not a figment of your imagination, you use it and do not need me to explain that it is real, because you know it is there. When you suggest that angels, demons, and God may not exist; that to me is like you telling me that I am not using a computer and the Web is a figment of the imagination, but an issue of greater importance, because the Web is not needed for Salvation, simply a tool that can be used one way or another.
+Zedigan Gamer I can ask you the same thing. I believe in miracles, apparitions, and other supernatural happenings, I believe what I see (sort of like how you believe that you are communicating though a computer connected to the web), and the testimony of trust worthy men that come in the name of the Lord.
+Zedigan Gamer Experience; and trust in God. How do you figure they do not? Lack of vision; failure to witness? The Holier a person is the more they will notice about the mechanization's of the world, and what governs them.
+CausticSodaPop Monks also aren't just satisfied in their vocation, but they are spiritually stronger than most of man. They do combat with the demonic forces of this world through prayer. If not for them we may have already seen the end. They hold this world together.
+Zedigan Gamer It is not really a matter of "ass kissing", it is more like serving a Great King, that is just and righteous. The Truth that sets us free from candy coated poisons that we in our foolishness find fun or pleasing; That ultimately lead to our destruction after we become so tainted by sin and rebelliousness. The Lord God, The Christ Jesus certainly exists, and He does not live in the sky, that would be below HIM. Plus, from what you have said your life is not that fun. Wages of sin get paid in full. That is why I try or rather through God's Grace live in the Commandments, and I practice the Sacraments such as Reconciliation. Meditate on the effect of your actions if the sins you share with others leads them to Hell what damage you really are causing. The slaver is seeking more slaves to destroy and you become the tool. G. K. Chesterton said once that "all adventure and romance is in the Eucharist"; Truth sets us free.
I'd rather live a life of fun and adventure than a dull boring life kissing the ass of a sky daddy that I don't even know exists. People can believe whatever they want and do what ever they want, as long as they are not hurting other people or restricting other people of doing the same. Live and let live. I want to experience the universe while I'm conscious.
To think that that is hard to deal with, think of Holy brothers and sisters that take vows, the thoughts leading to that moment, sealed and locked. High places in Heaven, but very strict lives on earth.
The man who works without God Labors in vane. God is able to bring anything your way, to fight against His Will has never benefited anybody in the long run. Interesting enough I was saying this to my mom hours ago.
+CausticSodaPop I won't work past it because I have other things to worry about like financial stability and finding a career that suites me so I don't need another thing to mentally weigh me down. You don't have to be gay but let those who are live in peace.
+Zedigan Gamer Feelings can be at times nothing more than the spiritually darkened mind deceived by temptations of sinful lusts. The wages of sin is death, it does effect others, even if you cannot see the ripples of sins influence, the battle is not of flesh and blood but against Powers, and Dominions of this world. If we hand our will over to the enemy we become its puppet; a slave to the devil unto destruction. It can be a threat, a warning, wise advice.I for one through the Grace of God will stay within Christ Jesus, and pray to grow in that Faith.
+Valarious V Yeah well I like to listen to loud music, like crude humour and I am bisexual. Non of these are dangerous to anyone yet I am threatened with eternal damnation by self righteous christians which is another reason why I left. The christians around me are really nice people and I enjoy their company and they recognise that I reject their beliefs just as they reject mine and we're all cool. It's self righteous christians like you that think they need to "save" everyone that piss me off. There is more to reality than just the bible and god. People have feelings, opinions and beliefs outside the bible.
+Zedigan Gamer That is like saying; I do not want to go to jail for hitting a child while driving drunk, in the context of this discussion. We know better than to drive drunk though, because it is a good law; to prevent disaster, to others, and self.
+Zedigan Gamer Some people see true freedom as control, instead of seeing their bondage as slavery. That sadly only leads to further captivity. Clinging to vices because the thirst is unquenchable by anything less than the infinite.
+CausticSodaPop I know that calling myself a heathen makes me sound like an edge lord but the thing is I don't tell anyone unless they ask. It's more like I'm agnostic but I follow the beliefs of Heathenism.
+CausticSodaPop Christianity made me content with my laziness and made me focus on pleasing other people rather than thinking about myself. I had the constant idea that if I fuck up there will always be a way out. It made my life worse. I'm now a Norse Heathen which values hard work deeds over forgiveness and prayer. I need to work for my spot in the afterlife and it's actually working, my grades have gotten better and I've even started a diet. Also one of the biggest parts is that christianity made me fear death and I was always so paranoid. Where as in Heathenism we embrace death, there is no fear. This idea of embracing death has helped me take more risks and have a more fulfilling life.
Orthodox Christian Teachings: On Prayer
What is true prayer, and how can we acquire it? The Church Fathers give us some advice. Chant from the CD Blessed Optina.
+Bradley Hauf "what about proving yourself?" - I exist, and if god is real he has seen me. Therefore it's his turn to show himself. If he will not do that, he's not a friend of mine anyways."he sends messengers sometimes" - Not to me. The only people like that who has come to me are people who seem to have imaginary friends called "god"."do you know what a slave means" - I know they are messengers, but when I said slave I meant what majority of people hear when they the word 'slave'.
i wondered of your thoughts on the matter since you quoted from other statements made. also, he sends messengers sometimes, do you know what a slave means? it means messenger. that's how people worked many many years ago, they ran errands for others like letters, certain goods. slave means messenger to its true sense of the word's meaning. being a slave was meant as being a laborer. lots of young men and women made their funds running a message from someone to another. like our mail system today, they are slaves, they are messengers, they carry messages from one location to another. Bless Yahshua,.
+Bradley Hauf "Yahweh has proven Himself time and time again." - He must have missed me then, because he never knocked on my door, or rang the bell. Does he have a phone number so I can call him?"do you not think HE is really good for helping us breathe?" - He has never helped me, my lungs do that easily on their own."Furthermore for helping Heavenly Children Breathe?" - Do you mean birds? They are flying in the sky and sometimes have children. Or is there some kind of flying humans that I don't know of?"Prove yourself to Yahweh by fulfilling His Will." - To do so would be to talk to someone I haven't met. It makes more sense to talk to a wall. Atleast I know it exists."Doing whatever HE tells you to." - So you want me to be a slave.."Other times HE just wishes you to be with Him" - He must be ignoring me then, because in my whole life he never invited me to drink tea or anything similar."Anyway Davvan, your name means prayer in Hebrew." - That's pretty cool, I knew it was something religious, but now I know more exactly what my name means.
+Hieronymus "SO you dispute the existence of existence?" - That's just a dumb question. Why are you asking? To dispute the existence of existence is to question if anything exists."I dont know "where a God can exist"." - Okay, I may have misunderstood your text. Some sentences seemed a bit weird to me."What I tried to tell you was that philosophers & theologians never thought of God in that way." - It doesn't matter what anyone thinks about god. It doesn't matter what I think, or what you think, or what anybody else thinks. If someone claims that a god exists, and they want to be taken seriously, they must show evidence of the god. The same goes for every single claim in the entire world."God is not just "a being" but Being as such - IE: the "essence" of Being" - Okay, and your evidence of this is what? Have you met the god? Have you been a god yourself? How can you possibly know what not a single human seem to be able to prove? The only god I know exists is a character in a fairytale. I've never seen traces of one in the real world. But I've seen a lot of people who has seemingly imaginary friends who they call gods."To accept a religion depends on other things that is beyond reasoning out whether it's reasonable or not" - And why are gods so special? Everything else in the world seem to be within reason. But gods, the one thing we've never seen (that I know of), happens to also be the very thing that doesn't need reasoning? It's like saying "There are 200 magical dragons in my garden" And when someone says they don't believe you, you just answer that there's no reason, but they should still believe it. Sounds incredibly much like a childrens' story and nothing else.By the way: You didn't answe my questions. How do you know there's only one god?How does logic say that there is an ultimate being? You seem to leave very much to chance. What if gods aren't real, and all the millions of people who have died because of religion has died for nothing?
+Davvan Dude, I dont know "where a God can exist". It sounds as if I could just bump into a being of some sort in some corner of the universe. What I tried to tell you was that philosophers & theologians never thought of God in that way. Superstitious people thought of ghosts & demons as beings that resided here or there. God is not just "a being" but Being as such - IE: the "essence" of Being, whereas you or me, or anything else that exists is an "expression" of being. Being is so fundamental that all living humans can affirm their own being, provided they're conscious. This itself shows that there is being that an individual has. Being doesnt come from us, we have it now & it depends on many things to not stop or radically change: if we stop eating or drinking we die - we eat other beings. But the being itself never dissapears. Plato, Aristotle, Plotinus & many other great philosophers reached the same conclusion - To accept a religion depends on other things that is beyond reasoning out whether it's reasonable or not to assume God exists.
Prove yourself to Yahweh by fulfilling His Will. Doing whatever HE tells you to. Even when HE gets angry keep in mind something really evil is going on that HE is coming to be comforted. Other times HE just wishes you to be with Him, like we've sought out others when we were angry or upset or something else. He's rather neat Davvan. Anyway Davvan, your name means prayer in Hebrew. Hebrew is The Original language of The Holy bible. Bless you against the demons that you know not exist. Bless Yahshua HaMeshiach.
its us that have to prove ourselves davvan. Yahweh has proven Himself time and time again. If you thought about who they call God, I call Yahweh, do you not think HE is really good for helping us breathe? Furthermore for helping Heavenly Children Breathe?
+Hieronymus and your evidence for all of these claims are...? How do you know there's only one god? How do you know where a god can exist? How does logic say that there is an ultimate being? You said many things but didn't prove a single one.
+Davvan There is only one God. "My God" is everyone's God. There are no other "god's" because Being is also One. All othere individual beings depend on the Ultimate Being to uphold their existence. Sometimes through intermediary beings like fruits & vegetables to sustain their lives or their parents form whom they received life - since none of these beings; the air, the vegetables & animals we eat or our parents - are self-dependent, but also depend on yet other beings for their own existence; they came into & remain in being through other beings - logic demands that at the end of the Chain of Being there's an Ultimate Being that was both the cause of all other beings & upholds their existence at this very now - this reality the wise have always termed "God". The "gods" of the pagans are at best immaterial beings in the Monotheistic worldview - where only One God is possible & ultimately everything lives & has its being in that One reality. An example of an immaterial reality is a number like the number 3. If I delete this number from my screen it doesnt dissapear - it has a reality that is not dependent upon its material manifestation
anyway Davvan, Your name in Hebrew means prayer. Its synonymous that you are to pray. Your name is so close to the Hebrew word that i rather think you should pray to Yahshua's Av ShebaShomayim. Daven is the word for The Hebrew, English is the equivalent. Your name means prayer. Pray to Yahweh like prayers were originally intended. If you see not your name means Prayer in Hebrew and you are talking about not wanting to pray, be yourself. Live for Life. Live not for death. Live for your Name's Sake. Quite literally in your case Davven. Your name means Prayer in Hebrew. Look up "What is the Hebrew word for prayer?" You'll find the answer. You are right, magic is nothing good either. too many people have fallen to evil ways and know little about this. Pray Davven, not just for yourself but for others as well. Pray for Av ShebaShomayim. His Son Yahshua and His Ruah HaKodesh. I am using the hebrew because your name means prayer. Pray Davven. When you pray keep praying, do not cease. When you are not praying, pray. Pray lifelong Davven. Your name means prayer. Get This Message to Davven!!!Please Yahweh!!Davven tbh with you I hate magic. I have hated magi since i was a kid. I asked Yahweh what are the common sins we commit that we know not of, and just like stated within The Holy Bible The Things people do wrong are the things that they've missed. If you ever wonder how to pray Davven, Read From The Book of Matthew Chapter Six Verse Nine. How you reference the holy bible is by the prophet first, which would be matthew, then the Chapter next which would be the sixth chapter and last the verse which would be Nine. The Heading States "Yahshua teaches us how to pray." He says pray in secret. do not pray in front of others to glorify yourself, pray in secret behind closed doors unto Yahweh. Then your Av ShebaShomayim Will Reward you for doing something no one else knows about. keep your good works secret ok? Seek after Yahweh, not the reward. For if you do things between you and Yahweh you will have such a greater reward. Damn the evil thing off you Davven. Bless you in Yahshua's Name. This is Destiny, not fate that leads to destruction Davven. You were meant to pray. May Yahweh be with you. Just let Yahweh have the permission to lead you. A Good translation would be "The Book of Yahweh" and you can find free bibles on audio book on yt and also on biblegateway.com. There you can choose from several different translations for free. I like the book of Yahweh. Bless Your Guardian Angels.
+Miguel Padilla I can see why you're thankful for that great expeience, but I really don't see god anywhere in it. I see friendship, trust, happiness etc, but I've never seen a god in anything. Things doesn't have to be magical to be great. But I'm glad I got to hear such a nice story.
Part two:within me, and felt so much infinite peace and love in that one moment of my life it and After my turn was finished, it was my brother's turn and as he started he simply stirred said the prayer, he seemed affected, but he usually keeps things to himself unless I ask, but in thi So situation since it is a spiritual experience, I decided it be better if he kept it to himself out of respect after about two minutes, we started kneading the bread. Kneading the bread was a lot of work, but it was simultaneously a lot of fun as I was trying to get the process right. I started by pushing kneading the bread down and folding the bread u itself, then pushed the folded down and repeated, and I sometimes tossed it on the table or pressed it on the table in a circular movement counter clock-wise. I then simply repeated the counter-clockwise motion and tried to get rid any air bubbles, if I could of find then, but I honestly did not know how. I later began to feel embarrassed about the kneading process because I was not sufficiently skilled or experience to knead bread, in fact it the last time was around 7th grade when I had home economics which was about seven years ago in that time. I only did what I thought was right due to the hours of cooking programs I used to watch, but I also had a lot of pride in me since if I can not do something right, I would avoid acknowledging what I lacked, so I instead started to attempt to follow how my friends kneaded the bread. I then caught glance of my brother and saw that he could not knead either, and I began to have this horrible thought cross over my mind like an invisible specter: "Oh great, he does not know how to knead either, and if I can not do it right, I would then look worse." It was the most selfish and irrational thought I ever had in that day, and it felt ridiculous, because my friends do not really care about that kind of stuff and also Ma was giving a lesson, and chastising me from a lack of technique Matuskha then started to take some of the finished dough and places it on the cooking sheet in the kitchen, and as she was there,Iheard several times in the opposite side with the table separating us from the kitchen saying "o Lord, Bless me," as she placed some sort of seal on the bread. As it was m tum, she kneaded it again because I have not completely finished it. as then feeling bad about the Kneading, but I told that she did not actually care she just wanted to get the dough finished in time for Sunday Morning. I was then able see the seal, and it had a cross within a circle with IC on to the left-top corner XC on the right-top corner and NI left then KA on the right of the bottom meaning Jesus Christ Conquers. I was then given the chance to put the seal on my own prosphoron (which is the singular form of the word), but I had to say something different since I'm not a Matuskha, unfortunately I can not remember what it was Well after that we then began to chat, relax, and have some supper and we all had lentils which were my personal favorite, especially when my family and I celebrated Lent.I got to know some of the new students and I really enjoyed them. We talked about gaming, card games, basically most of the nerdy-popular stuff flying around in today's culture. I really wished I could have stayed longer and, I enjoyed getting to know the new students, but the time was ticking near eight o'clock, so I called my parents and let them know I was ready to leave. I then prepared myself to say goodbye, which took about the time from after I called my father and as my father drove by, however, it took a few more minutes because some of the students knew my father. Then me, my brother, and father left. We all enjoyed the time together especially my brother, since he got in a deep conversation about trading card games somehow with one of the newer students, and I felt glad, because he usually has a hard time relating to most of my friends, since there is about a five year gap between them. As we got home, he told me that he did not know he could be funny and yet be an adult so it actually helped his self- confidence. In my own thoughts, was really thankful to God, for the opportunity of being able to share this positive experience with my brother.
Here it is (part one)A Divine Presence It was Thursday and was a light purple-blue, and the sun was about 45 degrees from the the sky horizon. The date was April 4th 2012 and it was 5:35 pm. My father and brother were with me in a red Ford F-150, and my father was driving us to visit a couple of friends from my old college, which was known as Saint Katherine College. It was a Pan-orthodox College, meaning it has a diverse faculty and student body, which are mostly united in the Eastern orthodox Christianity. The event in which we were participating at the time was making Leavened Holy Bread, commonly known within the religious community in its plural form, Prosphora. We were preparing this for Pascha [Pas-ka] known in the west as Easter. I was very excited and full of curiosity, because as a Roman Catholic I had never experienced such an even This might be because the orthodox have always had married priests, where in comparison The Pope declared prior to a thousand years, that all priests remain celibate, so this tradition was never shared among the Laity, After reflecting this on the knowledge I had understood, I came to notice our arrival at an apartment complex was around 5:45 pm. The apartment had a adobe-red texture, with beige walls in the left corner which was covered with a variety of vegetation such as trees, bushes, and herbs. The last time I lived there, the cost was about S2000.00 a month, and my roommates Jonny, Conner, and Misha, divided the cost evenly with me for the semester. The apartment, as I remembered, had two bedrooms, a living room on the left, kitchen on the right side corner, and a small wall, which took a quarter of the space in between the two areas. In between the living room and the wall was the entrance and on the right side of the apartment, in the left corner was a fan and an empty area. After two and a half minutes of reminiscing, I suddenly realized I was at the front of the apartment I once shared last year I stepped out of the car to check and see if my roommates were present in the apartment. As checked to see if they were present I caught a glance and then waved across the parking lot at my brother, and gave athumbs up that they were there. We both then said farewell to our father and notified him that we would be leaving around 8pm. My father drove off, and we proceeded to walk at the front door. My friend Jonny opened the door and and welcomed m with the statement, "Hey Mugs!" and I replied, "Hey," back. We both embraced each other for what seemed to be a full minute since we have not seen each other for over year. I began to introduce my brother and they both hugged but not as intimate, since they do not know each other as well; however, the meaning of the hug was still a genuine and simple. I then embraced the rest of my friends about the same manner as I did with Jonny, and I as I finished, I noticed a few new people, and I wanted to get to know them, but I somewhat nervous since I of course did not know them. I then replied, "Oh. What did I miss?" The told me that I was in time for preparing the dough to be stirred and kneaded. I began to look around and the area hasn't changed much except for the table. I also noticed that the Icons of The Theotokos. al known as Mary the God-bearer, on the right, Saint Michael the Archangel on the left, Christ in the center, and a few other icons depicting saints one above Christ and a few below him, ultimately forming a cross. I was then standing in between the table and the entrance. My brother was across from me in my right near the entrance, while everyone else was about two to three feet apart from one another forming a half-circle, facing the icons. So I total only ten of us altogether including Matuskha Elizabeth Cuneo, the Priest wife of Father Andrew, were there. We then began by saying the Trisagion, which mainly composed of the opening prayers, then we prayed the thrice holy hy "Holy God Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us", then uttered the Apostle's Creed, and lastly performed the Prayer of Saint Ephraim which was done by doing a prostration after each sentence the prayer which is done Traditionally for the Lenten Season: Oh Lord and Master of my life, take from me the spirit of sloth, Despair, Lust of Power, Idle Talk. But give rather the spirit ofchastity, Humility, Patience, and Love to Thy servant. Yea, o Lord and King grant me to see my own transgression, and not to judge my brother For blessed art thou unto ages of ages, Amen I then felt uncomfortable praying, but having done the prayer itself, whenever possible, was a challenge, since being humble was not my best quality. While performing this prayer with familiar folks it did not bother me as much, but I had not pray as often on my own terms. The prayer was continued as we began to stir the dough individually, since this was my first time, I went along with the ritual and I checked over to look at my brother, and he seemed alright, but confused so I made sure that it is alright, and assured him it was my first time too. As the stirring began, we all chanted together the Jesus Prayer: "Lord Jesus Christ, son of God, Have mercy on me a sinner." We all said this about twelve times together. For each prayer ofabout twelve times it took about one and a half minutes on each person, so in total of eight people before me it took about thirteen minutes to get through. It was then my turn, and as I was holding the wooden spatula I felt uneasy, since I explained that I had not prayed as often as before to God or anyone. I only prayed thanksgiving of food, so I felt a little guilty like I was playing with God, but I saw that everyone was there to support me and they encouraged me to start stirring and to not worry. That action actually gave me the courage to proceed with the prayer Lord Jesus Christ as I began to pray, I felt something I had not felt in a long while, a pure, very loving and fluid-like energy, alive and moving in me and the bread. Then as I continued to pray Ifelt the energies getting stronger and flowing continuously around me and the bread, through my heart and chest to the bread, infinitely. We were both transparent towards the Divine Energies of God which were also God, just like the icons of the Holy Saints were to God's will. It was God flowing through me and
+Jacob Cross "Do you respect us followers of Christ if you have seen us on the streets?" - Of course I would respect you, you haven't done anything bad to me, other than using a small amount of my money to build unnecessarily styled buildings. Not you personally, but christianity."Or would you instantly dislike us for what we stand for?" - I really don't care what people stand for. I wouldn't care if you prayed to Hitler. It's your actions that counts and how you treat people. And you seem to be nice."Like as in, if you saw me in a food store [...] And you just knew I was a Christian. How would you feel?" - I live in a multi-cultural country, I see christians, muslims, atheists daily. I wouldn't care more or less about you if you have a seemingly imaginary friend. What you think or believe is none of my buisness."Is there anything you'd say to me?" - I don't think so, because I wouldn't know you. However if there were some reason to talk, I would.
+Davvan Do you respect us followers of Christ if you have seen us on the streets? Or would you instantly dislike us for what we stand for? And who we believe in full heartedly? Like as in, if you saw me in a food store somewhere searching for groceries. Putting grapes in a basket. And you just knew I was a Christian. How would you feel? Is there anything you'd say to me?
+Bradley Hauf "look up "Prayer of Saint Michael The ArchAngel"" "the destruction of the souls of men." - As I said before: I've never even met a demon in real life, only in fairytales. So unless he broke into my house at night, there's no way he could touch me."look up "Prayer of Saint Michael The ArchAngel"" - I don't even believe anyone hears your prayers. It feels like I'm simply mumbling by myself in order to feel better."if you wish to know what's been causing all the hurt and pain in your life i would suggest looking up the prayer." - Actually I have a life I'm really happy about. I'm a sucessful teacher and the students seem to like me."don't ask, you'll never know, left behind, you'll be exposed." - Why wouldn't you ask? It kind of makes it seem like I'm supposed to never think for myself, and just trust whatever I read from an old book.
if you wish to know what's been causing all the hurt and pain in your life i would suggest looking up the prayer. in the words of a very great and talented group of young men, "don't ask, you'll never know, left behind, you'll be exposed." -A7X, Avenged Sevenfold. Meaning if you really wish to know what has been going on in existence and are not putting up with being kept in the dark without knowing what is really happening, I would suggest looking up The Prayer.
+Bradley Hauf what? I've never met any demons. They haven't even called my phone or sent an sms. And usually it's only humans who try to sell me unnecessary things. Demons haave never done anything bad to me. What does demons have to do with anything?
+Hieronymus "God isn't 'a being among beings' but the act of Being itself." - No ofcourse not, he is your god so he must be so incredibly special in comparison to all other gods. He is so lovely, so holy, so welcoming.Still he has killed millions of people, never ever talked to me, destoyed cities, started many wars, etc. I find exactly zero reason to care about such an evil being."All murderers kill 'cuz of a lack of Good" - So god has a lack of good then, because because he is an mass murderer."To think God is directly responsible for Evil & simultaneously worship that God is to worship the Devil." - lol, that just sounds idiotic. To think something isn't 'to worship'. I can say with almost complete certainty that god doesn't exist, and same goes for the devil. If I had to choose though, I'd choose the devil any day over god. Sure the devil may be doing bad things, but he's not half as bad as god himself. God created a world that could contain evil, and he also knows the future (Which is seen many times in the bible). Therefore knew parts of the world would be evil and he could've changed it, but chose not to. The devil is simply an angel who tried to stop the evil god. But then again, they are both worthless because they prove their existence to people."Humans slaughter eachother over ideologies & power." - Like religions, yes. If that was your point to make religion look better, it was a fail."During the Middle Ages, about 30K died in western Europe due to religious wars & inquisitions." - And the biggest of those religions is christianity and your evil god. Facts are facts, and there's no denying that."During the 20th century alone >100 mln people were killed by..." - The only one I know about of those is Hitler, and he used many verses from the bible. He was christian and the only people not understanding that are the ignorant ones. Just read the text, and copies of speeches that Hitler did, and then tell me how he's NOT a christian.. The other killings I basically know nothing about. I haven't researched them at all. But I doubt someone said "The god I don't believe in told me to kill people.""yet you claim 'God' caused this evil?" - Of course! He created humans, knowing they would be evil."You do that just 'cuz your socialist education & cultural climate has taught you to feel that way" - Or because I, unlike most christians, have read majority of the bible. And not just listened to the few parts that a priest choses because he likes them."in contradiction with historical evidence." - Says the guy who didn't know Hitler was a christian. You may wish he wasn't, but he was.*"God only permitsevil to bring a greater good out of it"* - Just like the person who uses a gun to stop wars. When it works, I can congratulate him, but until then I will keep thinking that he is incredibly stupid, because it has never worked before. Millions of human have tried, and so have thousands of gods. Why would your god be any different?"a childs definition of 'evil' isn't the same as an adults" - Have you asked every child? Or are you simply assuming based on what you've heard from a few children? But what does that have to do with anything?"neither is God's the same as that of man's as God's perspective is eternal" - Of course! He is so amazing in every way, and still I'm stronger than him, because I can prove my own existence. If that isn't enough, let's do a test: Who can reply to you (Hieronymus) first? Me or god? We'll see who's the fastest of us.. Looks like my comment was first, I'm better than god once again. I hope god punches me for that, oh wait he can't.
+Davvan God isn't 'a being among beings' but the act of Being itself. Nothing exists that doesn't participate in Being. All murderers kill 'cuz of a lack of Good, the ultimate of which is God. To think God is directly responsible for Evil & simultaneously worship that God is to worship the Devil. Humans slaughter eachother over ideologies & power. During the Middle Ages, about 30K died in western Europe due to religious wars & inquisitions. During the 20th century alone >100 mln people were killed by officially atheist socialist states in Stalinist/Leninist Soviet, Mao's China, Hitlers Germany, Pol Pot's Cambodia etc. yet you claim 'God' caused this evil? You do that just 'cuz your socialist education & cultural climate has taught you to feel that way, in contradiction with historical evidence. God only permitsevil to bring a greater good out of it & a childs definition of 'evil' isn't the same as an adults, neither is God's the same as that of man's as God's perspective is eternal
Then you do not know who God truly is or rather you know of a false God, I would assume you mean of the western understanding of who God is, am I right?
