+awsome___andrea I think I've seen it in a different one of her videos. I don't remember if there was an explanation in that one... I'm guessing there's a story behind it?
+briarwolf318 Well, it's not chocolate. The wax has the fragrance of the candies in it. It's literally a scented candle, so it's not burning chocolate.
THE EASIEST DIY CANDLES with JOSELYN AND MAMRIE// Grace Helbig
Honestly, these candles were stupid easy to make and smell stupid delicious. I highly encourage you to make them yourselves! But if you do, don't get too drunk ...
+Jillydisco usually cheaper to make it, unless you are buying more essential oils, and you can control what ingredients are going into your candle. There might be certain hidden scents or chemicals inside candles that people are very sensitive or allergic to. Some people also make candles using beeswax instead of soy. It is also a good way to make any off season candle scents you want to burn but ran out and the store isn't selling them anymore.
+Omg Lilly: That's pretty close to what I was thinking. I was also thinking it should be longer. I was also thinking they should do more collabs. I was also thinking about a donut I ate earlier.
Christmas Haul | Bath & Body Works Candles & Home Fragrance!
THUMBS UP FOR SEASONAL LIVING! Who's ready to light it up this Christmas?! Literally...let's light these candles, maybe all at once because they are so ...
+Bobbie Hi Bobbie, same, same! That's why I love BBW, you really can't beat the quality and the price. Plus it's so fun that there's such a community element to them, so many of us are burning the same scents and/or sharing favorites. Merry Christmas!
Great picks! I also bought Twisted Peppermint and Winter along with Fresh
Balsam. But now I think I need I need to go back for Tis the Season and
Vanilla Snowflake!
I want to mention how much I enjoy your videos. Whenever a new one comes
out, I get up early while my little one is still sleeping, brew a coffee,
burn a candle, curl up in my comfy chair and enjoy. It's my nurture time
and I'm often inspired by your words or you give me ideas of simple things
I can do to take care of my body and soul: embrace the seasons, take time
to make myself a juice, plan my day or even just set out a nice soap. It's
the little things, right? So thank you!
+Amelie Webb Hi Amelie! Yes, yes, yes....beautifully said. It's all about finding the wonder and joy in the everyday moments. Thank you for making me a part of your days, Merry Christmas!
+Amanda LaPlante This is a frequent favorite! Next year it's coming home, I've never snagged that scent. Thanks for sharing, Amanda and Merry Christmas!
Seeing a new Paper and Glam video in my subscription list always brings a
smile to my face. I went a little crazy at Bath and Body works last week
and got a bunch of winter candles too, Fresh Sparkling Snow is my all time
favorite though. I always keep a back up because I get scared it'll get
discontinued.
+Ritamar Siurano Haha, hey there! Isn't that the worst?! That's me and lipstick, as soon as I find a favorite, she's discontinued. I love that they bring so many back year over year so we can make our favorite scents traditions. Merry Christmas, Ritamar!
+Melissa Kaufman Hi Melissa! Yes, that's how I feel about 'Tis the Season! I've got Vanilla Bean Noel in my kitchen, it's a new one for me this year, glad I picked a good one! Merry Christmas, my friend.
+Allyse Unger, does the lead-free wick mean that the walls won't be covered in soot? When I moved out of my last home, I noticed the walls were black from my candles but I don't know if it was from the BBW ones or Yankee Candle!
Just to comment,
I have made candles a few times using the crisco/crayons for
coloring/essential oil mix and they never smelled like crayons. They
smelled of whatever essential oil i mixed in when making them.
You only use 1/2 a crayon to color a normal sized candle so the ratio
compared to all the other ingredients is minute at best.
Making a basic candle is very simple. Put ingredients into container, melt
ingredients, heat your candle container in the microwave for 30 sec or so,
pour melted ingredients into candle container, drop in wick, let dry.
It seems it has become over complicated these days imo.
Instead of poking holes in your candle to prevent holes, try letting the
wax cool to about 110-120. Also, make sure the container is warm and make
the candle cool slowly. I put my containers in warm water to warm them and
then leave them in there once the wax is added for at least 20 min. Longer
is better. Many imperfections are caused by the wax cooling too quickly.
that was the most uncomplicated , easy tutorial. Thank you !! That really
helped me. I decided I want candle making to be my new hobby and money
making venture. So Im really excited . Scented candles and the clear wax
where you can put items in the candle are really what I plan to focus on.
