I must say this is quite the lift. I see the orange casters for tracking
and I suppose the formed channels (unistrut?) have something riding inside
to prevent the lift from walking away. Also, I would like to hear about
your controls. It looks well thought out and is a very simple and clean
design. I am guessing you are an engineer or mechanic. I am an engineer
and design such things used in auto assembly plants to transfer cars/truck
bodies from the floor to upper levels. We call them Vertical Drop
Lifters. I typically use lifting belts or chains over cables but then my
loads are much higher. Your use of a balance beam to equalize the forces
on the lift cables is a classic application of good engineering. The only
concern I might mention is the absence of safety device (safety chains,
crash guard, etc. maybe a proximity warning.) However, should your unit
fail I suspect the worse case is being stuck between floors. Well done.

Thanks for the nice comment. I have recently modified the control system to low voltage with limit switches top and bottom. There is another video called "how I did it". Not to fancy but it explains a bit more. I need to do another explaining the thing in totality now that it is done.

+Sally Lovesroses In a big house yes, but this is not just big. Its like a ranch. She has to have personel to make it run. So she hasn't privacy, all the time somebody will be around her. Its very nice but personaly i wouldn't felt confortably in such a place.

+Dozabz I agree with you, it can get very claustrophobic with paparazzi stalking you 24/7, so it's a relief to have freedom the walk in a big house.

+Fatalsprigs The area this house is must have special police protection and i think she has some guards too. This big is just for flash. How many panic rooms this house has? How many arm stores? I ve seen even other houses for sale they are all uslessly big. Other room to eat the family, other room for the formal dining other room for the informal dinning, other room to play biliard other room to see the movie other room to watch tv other room for play station... there is an exageration. The other one wanted her house to remind verseilles it had... i don't remember how many kitchens and she only knew to boil pasta! Are we out of our mind? Verseilles are a MUSEUM today. Nobody in Europe wants to live in there now. It was a sort of house in an other epoche, but not today. If you have to run a cross the house in panic after the third kitchen and the sixth living room you 'll forget the reason why you were running! Americans are exagerating and they always appeal to Europe. Europeans doesn't do these things....

+Solar Hellas Honestly those houses aren't just big for flash, the house is a fortress for protection. It has camera's everywhere and the size of it gives the person time to get to safety if someone is trying to harm them, because they can panic room the place and get to a weapon.
