You don't flick any bird on the beak, you position them where they become unbalanced by gently wiggling your wrist back and forth. Much better way to get them not to bite. Then there is no bad guy.

it's great handfeeding baby birdies but of course you need to know how to do it properly and then wean them properly. i'm sure you'll do fine tho. (:

thanks but she does not hold on to me she bites and lets go and usually i just ignore it now im used to it and nothing seems to stop it anyway

Ohhh, Rexy is just a kid! Innocent Rexy! No Bucking for Buckee! Is that why he is named Buckee? Hahahahahahaha! xD Poor Rexy, give Buckee more rolled up tissues to occupy him for now until the baby grows up! LOLhahahahahahha! I love your birds, they're a riot! :)

Friends for now. Rexy is too young for that stuff. :-p Buckee is a little pervert though. He/she tries to mate with Rexy who doesn't know what to do. We don't want to put them together yet because Buckee will get frustrated and might hurt the poor Rexy.

Opps! One lovie escaped! The other is jealous! xD They are toe nibblers I see! Hahaha! I like Buckee's deep blue butt! The two birds contrast each other in colors, really nice combination your 2 babies. Are they a pair or just friends?

LOL! Thanks! Buckee is insane. I'm just glad he's not mating on my head or my toes like some other lovebirds I've seen in youtube.

Tomtalker2000 - thanks for the comment... and viewing .. these two were introduced to each other - after which they have been a joy to watch and record..between them they have 8 babies (more vibs are on my channel).. two take after the mummy (that is the blue one) and the rest are direct copies of their father - they are all orange faced...

GORGEOUS shots of your Lovies. I have an IRN or Indian Ringneck and a Green-Cheek Conure that i try and get good photos of. But your a FAR better picture taker than i am indeed. Also, in my 30yrs in the avian field dealing with both wild & exotic pet species i've never see such LARGE Peach-Faced Lovies beautiful specimens i have to say.

Merci for your comment!! The fluffy one is light green ("seagreen" mutation), similar to the one you have but slightly slighter in colour. The one feeding the other is turquoise ("dutch blue" mutation). He is starting to grow the peach coloured patch on his forehead too. :) Your birds are so adorable, and they don't bite your hands!! How did you train them not to?

So you adopted Peachy from the the Human Society and now you are letting her and Pluto breed? Isn't that against some shelter's adoption rules? :\ Beautiful birds, nevertheless! I've been on the (unsuccessful) hunt to find a lovebird to adopt myself.

Hi! They don't bike because they are not always in their cage! I take them kiss tell and speak to them often ;-) there's no recipe, it also depends of the bird
