SPOILERS! In all honesty I wish I could have gotten my money back after watching Cloverfield lane. I mean seriously the only thing that was satisfying to watch was to see that old man die painfully and slowly in that toxic waste. We couldn't even get to see Cloverfield itself all we saw was 2 damn monsters that came out of nowhere and nearly killed Michelle. I just wished that they ACTUALLY showed the Cloverfield monster instead of these two alien beings. If it wernt based on the sequel of Cloverfield itself this would have been a great movie. My expectations were too high for this movie.

+Captain Blue Maniac I mean, it isn't a Cloverfield sequel. It was originally produced under the title "Under the Cellar", then got the Cloverfield name solely for marketing. I think it's better to look at it more as a second piece to an anthology rather then a direct sequel. I think had you gone in with a different mindset, you would have enjoyed it a lot more, because I do think it is a good movie regardless of the ending.

this movie sucked, if you are expecting aliens chasing people be ready for just to see a full 1 minute of that, the other 2 hours of the movie is drama,so I would not call this scifi ,I would call this drama, good acting but misleading

+ratty potter Remember JJ Abrams took part in this after Dan Trachtenberg wanted to make a movie with this script. This was never written with the first movie in mind but JJ Abrams knew he could make something of it to please the Cloverfield fans. I also was skeptical but my son just dotes on JJ Abrams and I believe in his judgement. I was not disappointed one bit. I left the cinema wanting to go right back and do it again. Dan Trachtenberg is a big name now thanks to this...

+cheekyoziechick I already said I didn't like it because the trailer is misleading people,why do you say I don't like good movies? ,I saw the trailer and I was expecting aliens in the movie,not just one minute, if they show me a trailer like the human centipede I would be expecting what I saw in this movie,3 people in one room for 2 hours..as I said, by looking at the trailer they are trying to sell a scifi movie,but actually this movie is more drama than scifi

This is to Cloverfield the way Halloween 3 was to the first two Halloweens (from the 70's/80's - not the Rob Zombie versions) - it shares the name but is a standalone story, probably with the same theme.

If you think a movie like cloverfield was supposed to to be a start of a franchise then you missed the whole point completely and are getting upset at something you stupidly thought was a good idea. The tracks are pretty long. 44 minutes divided by 8 songs is 5.5 minutes each average.
