isn't this direct injection. how did you get passed the fuel issues I've
been told I'll have in the focus RS I ordered. I've been told I won't be
Able to get over 400awhp in the RS because the direct injection pump
+MAPerformance will it effect warranty is the real question. Its my daily driver. I just wanna hit 400awhp not really aiming for 500awhp. I have my cobra for the over 500 range
+TRMN8R03 We implemented our own auxiliary fueling system, which will be available for the ecoboost soon. Once/if we get our hands on an RS we will likely solve your concerns! Our system should work with a few minor changes.
+iRomaine T We are able to run both an economy tune and a performance tune. With the push of a button: The best of both worlds! Overall our performance tune won't hurt the gas milage too much anyways.
I just ordered the turbo kit which is rated at 390hp/410tq @ 23.5psi. If I
wanted to bump it up to around 450hp/420tq what upgrades would I need to do
if any to support the additional power?
+roy e Please contact us via phone or email! Your power goals can be meet a few different ways and we would really like to work one on one with you to get you the best supporting mods for your driving style and long term goals with the car.
By far the best sounding ecoboost, I love it! I am intrested in purchasing
the big turbo kit although I heard you say, "we are sitting on a time bomb
here." If I do install the kit will my engine blow at some point?
+WatrFly You can tune the turbo kit safely to still make great power but have it be more reliable. We said sitting on a time bomb because ours was tuned so high but our 93 tune safely makes 390whp/410wtq! If you have any further questions feel free to give us a call or email Adam directly.
straight piped 3.5 ford f150 ecoboost
quick video of the exhaust system removed from my 3.5 ford f150 ecoboost. sounds really good at low rpm cuz you can hear lots od turbo whistle but sounds like ...
I'm pretty sure I know exactly what a BOV does. It's a pressure release
system linked to the turbo to prevent a hiccup or power surge; compressor
surge loading is what is being prevented, and putting larger diameter
pipes, longer pipes etc.. is going to give you back pressure problems.
There IS a threshold on how large or long your straights can be before you
lose pressure. You know it too.
i havent had a single problem or complaint. ive only got 20,000 km. i drive
lots of rough stuff lots of gravel and pastures. 2 buddys also have
ecoboost and they both love them. all 3 are 2012. lots of people bitch
about the gas millage and how they dont get close to what the sticker says
but still gets good gas for a truck with the amount of power its has
I have an '11 fully modded Afe stg2 intake Sct programmer, true dual
straight pipe exhaust, Afe charge pipe and age boost fooler, I'm pushing
past 27psi and maintaining 22psi at wot my 3.5 v6 put down 392rwhp 492ftlbs
at the wheels if anything just make sure you drive it, 23k miles of foot to
ass everyday my ecoboost has never let me down.
I have the same truck 2012 ecoboost and I have never had a problem with it
18 thousand hard miles, I use it to haul my dads farm tractors and trucks
it hauls it great we used a dodge ram 2500 b4 this truck then the
transmission went out

warrenty is gone
Almost sounds like a Ranger 2.9... This is it's younger Turbocharged

Ecoboost F-150 Airaid intake sound test part II (inserts removed)
Sound test highlighting the low speed turbo sound in the 0-40mph range with the intake inserts removed. External microphone was mounted just behind the air ...
Sweet truck!! I have a highly tuned 2012 Ecoboost FX4!! I had that
stainless works set up too and once I took out their turbo muffler and
added a straight core Magnaflow (part#14161/3.5") and it eliminated the
rattle noise that your truck had exactly what mine was doing and since you
have an off-road downpipe too...it'll increase your turbo whistle BIG TIME.
The SW turbo 2 muffler unfortunately has too much restriction with their
baffle design. I love what you've done to your truck regardless. I don't
have the Batmo Blades but I suspect the Internal Westgate Actuators I
recently upgraded on my turbos would increase the turbo whine even
MORE!!...So, looks like I need to get a pair from your website. I think
you'd love the difference with the Magnaflow. Your truck would respond very
well to it. Very nice build by the way!! I love it!! #MuchRespect
+Ryan Lynch Thanks for the kind words. We actually had a maganflow muffler, but the drone in the cab was more than we wanted with a daily driver truck. The SW S-Tube sounds great outside and inside and we knew drone was minimal from having used it in other applications. Let us know when you are ready for those wastegates. We will get you setup.
truck sounds gay….doesn't sound like a truck at all……..when i think a good
sounding truck, i think either a nice V8 rumble or a nice turbo spool….from
a diesel
