I never did take a picture of the finished product, but it turned out
great, and I gave it to my grandfather for his 80th birthday. :D
You spend all that time trying to adjust the whole to make it whistle but
you don't show the camera exactly what you're doing. So after watching this
I still have no clue. Show the camera what your hands are doing.
@TheRapcity87 - I am so glad to hear that you are going to try it! It
should make it easy! I am curious to know what happens, so if you would let
us know, that would be great. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Thank you. My wife's fathers family is from Michoacan Mexico, they are P'urepecha. We just got back a few weeks ago from Teotihuacan and took some great video footage. Hoping to post very soon.
+BlueBearArts I wouldn't doubt it, that's why you are the man Charlie & I hope you upload the death whistle video soon, I enjoy seeing & hearing the way you make some of my culture's whistles, I liked the new jaguar whistle video you put up recently those things are amazing I own one myself straight from Mexico I'm getting good at making that whistle sound more & more realistic that it gets my dogs all crazy thinking there's a cat in the house haha
That reminds me of an ocarina kind of.. I have a custom made ocarina made
from blood wood on the front, and zebra wood on the back.. It's a ten hole
ocarina, with 8 on the front, and 2 on the back. It's a fairly nice
ocarina, but because I'm not very good at playing it, I'm not sure how
"good" it is.. The women that made it for me are two sisters from
California, and they had never made a yam style ocarina before, so my
ocarina was their very first yam style wood ocarina they'd ever made.. They
had not made ocarina's with wood either, just clay, but they specialized in
Native American flutes, so they thought they could made me a wood ocarina
since they'd made wood flutes mostly all their lives.. I'm not very good at
playing the ocarina either, so perhaps an expert would be able to play it
better than I can.. Haha. Awesome vid by the way, I like those skull
whistles. They are nice. :-)
Yes, baby oil is fine. Any non-toxic, natural oil is good.

I live in Baker Florida and theres some beautiful patches but on private property and the owners don't want company for some reasons ive planted some red margin I believe is the name its only 2-3 years old so its young but it will get there butb until then
We're good Billy. Thanks for asking! I have a couple of different patches in Florida, one is on a property that a friend owns and allows me to gather and today I took some pics f a friend here in Alabama's patch for which I donated the first cane. It is doing so well after the first 2 years! I have tried to spread the native cane as it is so hard to find anymore.
Hi Joe, if you could email me using the webhosting user form on my website I would be glad to help you figure it out. Once I receive your message you will then be able to send some pictures of the flutes.
