Seattle has a stacked roster because they're not paying Wilson anything. Same with the Bengals...they have the deepest roster in the NFL because they don't pay Dalton anything. Obviously, Seattle took the trophey, but these teams that don't pay the big $ to the QB tend to get to the playoffs. Brees and Brady are exceptions, but they are elite.

They didn't hand off the ball to Lynch because of two reasons. REASON ONE: He's 1 for 5 on the goal line JUST THIS YEAR. REASON TWO: Last year in the NFC Championship game, the Seahawks were in the same situation and were on the goal line in that game also and Lynch fumbled the ball and 49ers recovered. Granted the 49ers still gave up the game and lost but those were just a few reasons why they didn't run it. Of course people are going to say it was a dumb call to pass because it didn't work. If it worked, people would say differently.

You're throwing into traffic, and even if a DB doesn't make a clean play the way Butler did, there's always the risk of a tipped ball ending up in the hands of a defender.If you're going to try a pass in that situation, a corner fade is much safer.
