@SilentHiss1 For real??? All this stuff would have been going to the scrap yard anyway, or else just sitting in an old lady's yard. Most derby cars are non running, non titled, non usable when bought. Its just taking a little detour before it goes to its final destination. If it wasn't destroyed this way, it probably would have just sat there anyway. You should be glad it all can be recycled now, instead of crumbling away, and requiring us to use more of our limited resources.

Ahahaha! They used to do "train" races (three cars chained together, no driver in the middle, driver in the front and rear cars) at the Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino CA. It was hilarious! Now they're all NASCAR and nice, boo. Glad to see someone's still doing wacky racing in the name of fun!

here at WIR they go until nobody has something that looks like a trailer and some guys will lose there trailer and then pushed stuff in the way 2 block X and once a few cars get knocked out of a field of 25 cars then people start going anywhere and some do figure 8 rofl

the van at 1:48 is flying [not literally lol] this is good american fun :] i also love train races if u havnt seen those i recomend them!! there like this but 3 cars chained together front car has an engine back car only has braks middle car is along for the ride lol

nah ill be at illiana motor speedway. its in northwest indiana. the race is on july 11th. but the track has a similar set up as the one in this video. its a half mile oval with a quarter mile oval that shares the front stretch and has a figure 8 in it.

the annocher seems rather rude theatening the fans that they will have to clean up after it is all over if they do not stop laughing. Is that not the point of it to be enjoyed by the fans Also why did the person filming this chose to shake the camera?

Thanks! Some of the funniest stuff you'll ever see! I love the woman in the background laughing histerically. They run the same deal along with a school bus figure 8 here at Illiana Speedway in Schererville, In. twice a season. Good stuff!

@Tankboy26 "This was actually started in England a few years back" Figure Eight Racing was supposedly started back in the 60s by Larry Mendelsohn , one of the first people to put on demolition derby shows at Islip Speedway in New York.

sweet. i live down in indiana and have been preppin a trailor race van for a month now. the race is in 10 days and im still debatin a rollcage. been goin there for the last 20 years but have yet to race. anybody got any suggestions?

ah this is done by laps :(. in Wisconsin we run until last person with a trailer. The guys who lose there trailer push junk in the way lol. And well its spouse 2 be figre 8 but they really go any way they want.

really? I was planning on going to the July 1 show at Dixie. I heard they had figure 8, but didnt know it was "trailer" format. If so I will be sure to get some MORE video..as if this wasnt enough lol

It is fun. I raced eve of distruction in 2000 during the packer vs bears competition and my damn peice of shit blew up on me as I stomped the gas. Had to do a restart lmao
