I just started watching your videos and you are an amazing inspiration. I'm
Puerto Rican and have really curly hair which I did not love up until
recently. I chopped all of my damaged parts off and have a weird little
pixie going on lol. Its straight at the roots on top and curly at the ends
and the back is super curly all around. I've been watching hair growth
journeys and your journey is by far the best. You keep me motivated to let
it grow out and appreciate every hair that grows on my head!
I'm recently transitioning to natural hair and have chopped most of my hair
off in an attempt to get most of the perm off. I am used to wearing my hair
long, and don't know WHAT to do with it short, let alone natural and short;
so, I've been wearing it in corn rows back into a bun. Seems very
presentable for work. However, your hair is too cute in this video, and has
inspired me to try wearing it natural and short because I can totally do
that and it's so professional too. Thanks for sharing!
Taren, Okay, soooo...I'm struggling! I chopped all my hair off 2.85 years
ago and it is STUCK at the length of yours in this video. (Devastated
face...) I've Google'd everything but "Google" on how to grow my hair, but
am having the worst luck. On the bright side, however, I just bought my
first wig, DREW (Excited face...), and am hoping she'll help me overcome
this obstacle. Story short, I want YOUR advice on hair growth and health;
please. Keep in mind, I'm on a BUDGET, Lawd! -NLB
You look very classy lady! Love your look....reminds me of the beautiful
black women of yesteryear...Lena Horne comes to mind. Even your dress has a
little vintage air about it. Shear elegance nothing awkward about it! Your
a role model and I hope young girls follow your lead. I'm a middle age
Cuban dude from Los Angeles; so you know the source....you know whats
funny... I don't know how I ended up here. I just had to drop you a few
lines. You Rock(!!)
@taren916 I just wanted Thank you for cutting all of your hair off! You
have proven that your hair should not be the only thing going for you. I
use to wish my hair was as long as your (when it was long) You great with
long hair and short hair because you are gorgeous and have a great
personality! Thanks again for showing us that your hair does not make you
and it doesnt matter if your hair is long or short. You rock what you have!
hey hey im a college student from south africa...just want to say that you
are a real inspiration...my hair was really damaged because of heat and
hair dye..so i went to the hair salon and cut it in a similiar style...it
feels awkward...i don't know what to do with my hair...i feel frustrated
because i have never had short hair...can you please do a vid on different

I stumbled onto her by surfing you tube for natural hair styling tips
recommended by a co-worker after my complaints of headaches and the pain
from natural hair combing after washing. I enjoy and get the most out of
her segments. Her hair is gorgeous, as is she. She is easy to follow with
instructions; and not monotone or boring. Kudos to her for her originality
and style!
I have enjoyed your videos these last few months. I'm spanish and was used
to the relaxers, the blowouts, roller sets and flat Irons. I stop relaxing
a year ago but still have the same routine of washing once a week blow out
and flat Irons. I'm trying to find products that will help me manage my
natural curls and find new ways to style my hair. Can you Help?
It really baffles me that Black women are so ignorant when it comes to the
hair that grows out of their scalps. There are so many classes, seminars,
how-to-do videos about natural hair like it's brand new to us. For real? We
were born with this hair. Clean it and in the words of Ray Charles: " Let
it do what it do".
I Love you! You make the kinds videos I've spent my whole life looking for!
Also I did the same exact BIG CROP in August and I've been wondering what
to do during the awkward stage and what products won't weigh my hair down
too much. Thank you so much for making these videos. You are my savior.
Very cute and super helpful!!! I like it! It looks really cute. I am 4
months post BC Right now and I still love it. I will follow your journey
and subscribe. Check out my vids as well and I hope you subscribe. I will
surely be viewing your videos. I loooooove this accident hair style lol
Do you wrap it, are you taking vitamins, do you put products on your hair,
do you make sure that its not dry during the day? Even though this is six
months late, if you're having a problem it may be a lack of one of these? I
don't know, lol but I hope that helps.
I really love the hair & you remind me of a prettier Lala Vasquez. I also
use MAC's girl about town...I love blue based colors, but I will definitely
be trying this brand. Thx for the tip because MAC has great colors but can
be drying (eh hem, Ruby Woo).
Thank you - I thought that it was just me thinking that the MAC lipsticks
are drying. I love their colour selections but the drying formulations are
not a preference for me. Your hair is very cute. Keep us posted on
everything Taren!
Hi !! excuse me but I love your hair so much and I want to know how do you
cut your hair in 0,08 min because is so beautiful and I want to do the same
think. Can you tell me please how do you cut it please? thank you.
With a tampered cut, how do you grow it out w/ style? I guess I was
wondering what did you say to your stylist to make sure that as your hair
grew out, you kept a good style while maintaining your length?
I've felt the need to wash my hair everyday b/c its all smashed on the
sides and the back in the morning. I'll have to try this, but I don't think
my texture hair will be cute and fluffy in the back.

+Mary Tomaria That's a tough question! It depends what you're looking for. My top 3 picks are the Lustrum (for a variety of curls), Curl Jam (if you need a flat iron and 3 curling wands), and the Titan 3 which is the cutest of the bunch because it comes in different colors. They all work great so you'll be happy with whatever you choose. :)
