please reply. The thing is my mom already let me get a dog, but at the time
we was looking for dogs it was only one puppy left (which i knew i could
not handle) and she said get the puppy or no dog at all, so we got the
puppy. Long story short, 2 months later we had to give her away. I know im
ready for an adult dog, but she don't trust me anymore and to add on to
that i have 2 cats and 2 sisters and a brother that wants nothing to do
with dogs. My mom was about to get another dog, but she changed her mind
again. Is it anyway i could make her trust me with a dog again?
ALSO DONT GET ONE FROM A BREEDER BECAUSE THEY OVER POPULATION AND THERE ARE
PLENTY OF DOGS IN THE WORLD AND ALL THAT BREEDERS DO IS CAUSE HOMELESS DOGS
IN SHELTERS TO BE KILLED
Yeah I found a little girl dog in a parking lot so we took her home and I would never buy a dog from a store that would be horrible!

Ask you vet and see what he/she recommends. It really does vary. Personally
though, (since I have a house full and this is pure convenience for me) I
leave a feeding dispenser out all the time. Mine just free feed when they
want. However I do not have any special issues I have to worry about.I
really monitor their weight and make sure none of my gorge themselves.
Also, none of mine are aggressive w/ each other when it come to food or
eating. W/ 1 U may want more scheduled/portion control.
5 week is very young to be away from the mother. Is she eating ok for you?
Usually they do not get adopted until about 8wks old. That's a good age to
"START" training. Just a few minutes each day with some very basic
commands. (You can do this at night when you are home from school.) So you
should be good to go when your summer bread hit in about 11 weeks. Keep in
mind that you whole family need to "train" her. She has be be able to
listen and be obedient to all members of your home.
I was given a five weeks years old Labrador(mixed breed) by a neighbor last
week. I would like to train her now but i don't have time to train her yet.
So, I'm planning to train her this summer vacation, this April. Is it too
late to train her? What can you advice for me to do for her preparation
while my summer vacation hasn't come?
Congrats! What is the breed? Good for you! You are doing research so that
you will be ready when you get your puppy! You are in luck...We have tons
of video that will help answer just about all of your questions...so sit
back and enjoy learning with your family how to care for your new puppy! ;)
Depending on where you got your puppy from...Usually you do have to pay. If
you adopted your puppy from a shelter sometime they will give you a
"coupon" for a free exam. Usually you will have to chose a Vet from a list
on the coupon. If you did not receive a coupon then you will need to pay.
That is GREAT! Every one that I have ever know who has owned a Border
Collie has LOVED them! Border Collie's are very smart and great companions!
They are esp. good at agility so if you are able to enroll him in an
agility training class it would be so much fun for him and your whole
family!
hi, I have a 3mnth old pug puppy. i would like to know ways to check his
body temperature at home n the avg weight f a 3m old pug puppy. im unable

Thank you for the tip about agility, I'll look into it! I am also going to

That is wonderful! Give yourself a pat on the shoulder for doing research
and for gaining as much info as you can prior to bringing your puppy home.
They are such a big responsibility and wonderful addition to any family! ;)
@PridelessChickz Actually we do. Pro dog trainer Kathy Santo's video
"Bringing a Puppy Home" covers this. The links is:
youtube[dot]com/watch?v=Ro0KH6hAnHA and she discuses it around 5:40 into
the video. Hope that helps!
Thank you SO much for this video. I have a two year old Chiweenie and i am
going to get a teacup chihuahua in less than a month. Do you have a video
on how to introduce my old dog to my new dog for the first time?
Awww! How sweet. It will vary from dog to dog. Most food companies would
recommend approx. 1/4 cup per day. However your Vet will give you an exact
amount based on the health and size of your puppy. Good Luck! ;)
There is no need of age I was 5 years when my father gave me a dog
