my dad bought this for me in 1980 we lived in london england then
can someone please tell me how much they cost then
because he just cant remember or he just wont tell me
please if someone can help me
I just got one from car boot sale; the arm works but the turntable does not
rotate; opened it p: belt is completely tangled, which is what I assume
stopping the turntable from moving...then I have rescued the belt but when
I try to belt back on the track there is so much space left - basically a
big chunk of the belt is not being used so hence no tracton...any ideas as
where I am going wrong in terms of fitting it? or should I just buy odd
belt to start over again?
I have a Sharp VZ1500, got left in the loft for a few years and the belt
fused to the metal drive shaft. I bought a new belt from Maplin Electronics
and now it works just like new ! It's a clever bit of kit and I bought it
when it came out and people are amazed at how it works. I found it quite
fiddly to fit the belt as I didn't have anything to go by and you must
remember to re-attach a multi-plug inside before closing up the case or
turntable doesn't go round.
I bought some odd belt form under 2 quid. Now the turtable turns. But there
is other problem. I can hear the track and the speed seem to be fine but
most of the sound is overhshdowed by chunky virbration noise as if coming
from generator. The new belt is very tight fitting - maybe thats the
problem..or should I just chuck it away...any ideas anyone?
I see what's wrong, the turntable isn't rotating. I love the way the
tonearm moves the stylus around the record, that's so awesome. Does the
rest of the unit work? I don't think it would be heard to fix, just a
broken belt or a burned out motor, not hard to fix if you know what you're
doing, which I wouldn't.
NEVER MIND THE TURNTABLE - Here's The Record?! Pistols on A&M??? - 1976?! I
didn't know that single was ever released! I couldn't even guess what it's
worth! PUT IT AWAY! or sell it and buy ANY turntable you want!
Too cool. :-) I have always wanted to see one of these VZ-1500s do its
thing with the tone arm. Never seen one in action before. Yep, this video
is a good one. -BoomBoxDeluxe.
@alexistrash No idea sorry, if you know any TV engineers who can sign into
the manuals database that might help. You might be able to get a service
guide that way.
This is my Sharp VZ-2000 Boom Box, Ghetto Blaster, portable stereo record player with cassette and AM & FM Stereo. It's for sale on E-Bay. It plays 33's & 45's ...
