I actually know the entire speech by heart, sad ain't it? I would've hated
to go back and do more takes of this because it's all in one shot, and all
the background extras were doing stuff. "See I knew if I took the can,
there was a good chance I'd get caught. So then I thought, even if I did
take the Trimbythal to the proper authorities, Kurt would've hired some
high powered attorneys that would dispute any charges brought against him
or Mondo burger by manipulating the legal system. And with the way
America's court system is congested these days, it would've taken months to
convict him of anything. So then I thought, I would take the matters into
my own hands, and just pour the can of Triambythal into the meat supply and
let Mondo Burger be a victim of it's own foul play." And yes I typed this
without listening to Ed say it first. Wow I'm such a dork, lol
"I think now, looking back, we did not fight the enemy; we fought ourselves. And the enemy was in us. The war is over for me now, but it will always be there, the ...
I've seen horrors... horrors that you've seen. But you have no right to
call me a murderer. You have a right to kill me. You have a right to do
that... but you have no right to judge me. It's impossible for words to
describe what is necessary to those who do not know what horror means.
Horror... Horror has a face... and you must make a friend of horror. Horror
and moral terror are your friends. If they are not, then they are enemies
to be feared. They are truly enemies!
+SuperEROQ I saw on that ivory face. the expression of moral pride, of ruthless power, of craven terror-of an intense and hopeless despair. Did he live his life again in every detail of desire, temptation and surrender during that supreme moment of complete knowledge? He cried in a whisper at some image, some vision-he cried out twice, a cry that was no more than a breathe, "The horror, the horror."
this scene reminds me of my late grandfather who was only 19 when he served
in Vietnam during the tet offensive. a Cuban immigrant who enlisted as soon
as he came to the united states. rip
+Danny font Thank you I appreciate it. Your Grandfather definitely deserved a longer life for all he went through. 59 years old is too young to pass on especially for a veteran but i'm sorry for your loss. The two of my uncles who died years later I didn't know much about. I know the one on my father's side was raised by his aunt (My great great aunt) who raised him as her son. She lived to be in her 90s and you could always tell she was upset about him passing at a young age. The other Uncle, my cousin's father was a paratrooper which is how he got exposed to Agent Orange. He was drafted for his first tor in 'Nam and then reenlisted 1 or 2 more times. I believe he died when he was about 32 years old. It always upsets me seeing Vets who survive the war but come back and die before they even reach old age.
+Pennell96 much respect to your uncles fortunately my grandfather made it out after 3 years but turned to drugs and alcohol when he got back to Miami and died of a overdose back in 2008 at age 59. He wasn't the perfect grandfather but he was by far the funniest person I knew and loved to be around.
+Danny font Your grandfather has definitely earned my respect man. A few of my uncles served in Vietnam at young ages as well. They all made it out but two of them died years later from their exposure to Agent Orange. God bless everyone who has served.
