This is a demonstration of the greatest map of Battlefield 2: Daqing Oilfiels. Balanced aircrafts, two uncaps, 7 flags conquest large scale map, grey fog with long range, no f-35. I didn't meant to make a pwning movie :) I can do that when i'll change PC and line, cause these suck... :(

fair enough, i agree that this is a great map, but for vehicles. as much as i love flying planes in bf2,2 i still prefer going infantry =P. thats why this aint the map for me. Nice scores btw!

My Dad is in this video! I remember when he told me about this day. He and I were watching Full Metal Jacket for the first time, and he told me about the embedded reporters with his unit when he was in Hue. Years after my Dad died, I remembered him telling me about it and I looked on youtube for footage from Hue of his unit and found this. Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing.

That american flag rise sums up the whole attitude of the war, imagine if they had hanged up a south Vietnamese flag instead, the effect that would of had back home and to the south Vietnamese people would of won hearts and minds, perhaps as iconic as the flag raising at Iwo Jima was.

Actually, when we recaptured the more ancient, holy part of Hue, the ARVN and other S. Vietnamese elements raised their flag over the ancient castle that the NVA held throughout the engagement.

to Tim Hassan:WW2 Army Europe 69 divisions,Pacific 22 divisions Marines Europe No figures shown. Pacific 6 divisions 6 the army beats you by 16 divisions,Vietnam maybe 150000, Army over 1 million. So the Marines do the most Eh not by these figures they dont. The Army do more but dont boast about it.

actually in the entire history of the marine corps we never had 500,000 thousand in numbers,the size fluctuates from 175 thousand to 220 ,also the entire combined numbers of the US military are 1,295,000,my point being was that not all in the military are in jobs that mean they will be in combat (not trying to start an argument with you,i was in the marines corps so im just trying to tell you how we do things and also how the american military works as a whole)

+18tangles well you have to remember that the american army is larger but only half are of combat MOS (military combat specialty),the marines corps is made up of 3/4ths infantry or combat related or supporting MOS's,the reason why the marine corps has a reputation is that our tactics are a bit more aggressive than the army,we have a smaller force so were expected to move faster and work with the navy in an expeditionary force style of deployment aka the first ones in,numbers alone dont tell the whole story the Marine Corps and Army have two completely different jobs

+Pedro Mayen well I am not American but was Army. Where were the Marines at Salerno, Anzio, Bastogne Italy North Africa. Not there. I would check on how many enemy faced by the Marines and what was faced by the Army in most cases. e.g Tarawa 2000 jap soldiers 2100 Korean labourers 18000 to 35000 Marines 100 USN ships & Aircraft. No Jap ships 3 days to win, NOT THE BEST RESULT I WOULD SAY.
