Tired top end - 2000 Suzuki Gsxr 750 Motor swap - PART 1
The top end is done and has about 70k miles on it as does the rest of the motor too. I found a 2002 10k mile motor on ebay for $ 650 shipped and will swap out.
Hey I bought a 2000 gsxr 600 carb motor with a swapped 2001 gsxr 750 fuel
injected motor. I'm getting pressure buildup in the tank and gas coming out
of the top. Any suggestions.
+Michael Nutter That is amazing information! thanks a lot. I have only ridden mine a few miles so I don't know which problems to expect. I assumed with an engine swap there will be some issues to sort out.
The solution was you have 2 feeds on a carbuerated gas tank. Gravity feed and pressure release/overflow. Fuel injected has 3. Same as carb tank bit one more called a return line. On the fuel rail extra gas not used is returned to the tank. I just cut one of the lines in the tank and bent it to the side for the return line and the pressure release was at the top as usual like a dirtbike tank. Worked perfect.

Dyno pulls done by Rick Beggs at RnR Cycles in Sterling, VA. This Dyno is conservative on results. HP: 122.10 Torque: 51.0 lbs Before the assclown squids ...
@trevormilton Nope, no shift kit. He doesnt use the clutch while dynoing,
specifically because it causes dips in the graphs. Rick has been racing for
over 20yrs, and is sponsored by many good products, he knows how many gears
on on the bike :) In the beginning, he was checking his software to make
sure it was registering gear shifts, thats all. Rick does each gear
individually... for my video he did the 4th gear pull, along with the last
one of all 6. But no, he dynos each gear itself.
@JERKYBOYXIII how possible is it 70 torque huh? stock was 55 torque. so i
guess because of -2/+2 because sprockets help a lot on low end and mid
ranges, so how get 144 rwhp???? 70 torque for 750 sound fat ass bad ass!
anyway need upload dyno show to me soon bro, and upload race with
literbikes thanks ;) i want 750! k6 or k7 ;)
@biznitchy420z Ok Ill correct you. 1. Tho is spelled though 2. Dont start a
sentence with But 3. Rick is capitalized as its a proper noun 4. Crahsing
is spelled crashing 5. Soemthing is spelled Something 6. Worng is spelled
Wrong 7. Rick doesnt own, or ride a busa 8. Rick is very much alive, and
well...
1:35 he downshifts with no clutch, it seems. Maybe thats what he was
talking about. As for upshifting, the preload+light throttle drop doesnt
hurt the bike at all. But eh..I drive an ancient ZX600, so it might shoot a
gear through the head or something if I tried it. =P
actually its not that hard on the bike... Do a google search on the guy
that did the dynoing, hes a professional racer. you cant get a good graph
if youre clutching every gear either. Its obvious you dont race, but thats
ok :)
If you would have read the video notes, you could find your requested
information, and therefore, come to the conclusion that you are in fact
useless*.
I video'd this on about the 10th pull of 70 that day. When I uploaded this,
I didnt have final results. Today I do. Video description has been updated.
if it was me i would use it just would make a better video haha
