To make an external battery for a camera is advanced thing and requires having enough knowledge about electronics. I would rather recommend you to have a look if the manufacturer of your camera makes some accessories for external powering your camera. My first recommendation would be, to rather buy the accessory or more spare batteries. If I would want to make an external battery for such camera as you have. I would do it with a lithium battery and a DC/DC converter module which would be set to the exact voltage as gives you your batteries for your camera. I think it are 4 pieces of 1.5 Volt batteries. That's 6 Volts and I would somehow connect the 6 Volt output of the DC\DC converter to the plus and the minus terminals in the battery compartment of the camera. If you will do so, be careful, not to reverse the polarity or not to connect to the camera higher voltage than is the camera built for.
I have Sony CX 240 camcorder , and i wanna use battery pack to run like u
did , can u look up for me if it work or not ? oh and i have decent power
pack which is 5.1v/2.0A output
+ghy sambath This should work for you fine. Those specifications are very close to my specifications so I don't see a reason for it not working. Be very sure you get the polarity (+/-) correct. Thanks.
Hi Rihard, my camera is a Panasonic,takes 3,6 V / 970mA battery , and
charge to USB 5V... I will try this and i 'll let u know how i did it
.Well,it's sounds good ,i think it's gonna work.
Answered my own question, yes you can charge threw the plug AS LONG as you hook it to the same point as the stock wires (on the output side of the protection iC). DO NOT charge with it if you hook it up where it was in the video!
