OK thanks for the info. I'm trying to find a dash cam with great IR night vision so I can turn it inward to the cab to record at night as I'm an Uber driver. I'm having a terrible time finding the right dash cam for this.

What resolution was this camera footage taken at? 720p30FPS, 720p60FPS, or 1080FHD

+Black Jack This may not cover all situations but if you are in a situation where you think you'll need someone's plate number just say it out loud so you get on the recording. In a lot of cases even a go pro recording can't see the letters on a plate like your eyes can.

+Black Jack Actually most of the plates in that video were unreadable. Maybe the exposure needs to be turned down.

Just out of curiosity. This is a good car cam, but the video doesn't really help much if the car plate number cannot be read. If post processing is able to reveal the number, that would be good.

+phototristan  i got mine in amazon too but mine is not that clear at night... Do they have a china made knock off? And i notice the date stamp is so small not like yours itrs very visible and easy to read..
