The clothes almost felt like the clothes he presented at the supermarket collection (I love how now I reference CHANEL collections by the theme/set which makes it a lot easier) in terms of the bright vibrant colors. It was a lot more chill and casual I'll have to say though.
-at with such a big show like this (3,000 people!!!) it is impossible to see the details and I like Karl's idea of having everyone be in a front row seat. But still, with that much embroidery and accessories and mixture of fabrications(tweed, leather, lace, beading, sequins, chiffon, knit, etc) it is actually impossible to consume it all even on screen watching it!!! The designer did his best to address and face the issue what can I say! This time, it wasn't about the set. It was about the clothes and it always has been but with an airport so big, people can't help but talk about the airport and not the clothes. The clothes as seen on vogue runway and by watching it and the details, they are impeccable as always! I love the equestrian inspired hats and boots with tweet intarsia although he (karl) did not state this source of inspiration, it is what I imagined and took it to be. I loved all the pink, poppy, bright happy colors in the beginning and those neutral and some blacks latter on
He has been getting a lot of hate about his shows being such an extravagant, set-focused event. This was sort of like his indirect message to that. The set was stunning as always but it was so much calmer and it didn't seem to have an in your face theme like the supermarket or art gallery or brassiere that might steal your attention away from the clothes (it certainly did for me!). It was clear that is was Coco's Haute Couture salon/her runway shows where the models would hold up numbered signs but there were no distractions. CHANEL shows are always people's number one fashion week, if not the entire season's favorite show and they have become entire experiences like Pharell whom I think is the perfect guy to face CHANEL said. He is chic and elegant but always is modern and has a way of thinking that is constantly innovative and open to many different possibilities. I love how he said that these collections are like looking inside Karl's mind and it truly is. People were also saying th

Why no women of colour from a young designer? And don't give me any of this
aesthetic crap. Implementing diversity is a moral responsibility especially
if you work in an industry that defines what is desirable every season!
+jerry oliver Creative directors are involved in all facets of their houses. Yes there are casting directors but they work very closely with the designer. Also Demna Gvasalia is known to be involved in his own castings at Vetements (he casts his friends and clique).
Its already better than what Alexander Wang did, i will reserve further
judement for further collections, but im excited! Oh, and Ghesquiere
inspires them all!!!!!
Givenchy Fall 2016 Ready-to-Wear | Paris Fashion Week

Ricardo was never my favorite designer and I say it now this is totally
downhill he should retire from fashion for two or three seasons and get a
fresh air -- maybe look around at what other younger designers are doing
and update to 2016
+Theo Almeida shitty, garbage, ass! all the looks from those designers shit actually; not close to legendary.wow really goes to show just important your opinion is.....
+jonnyfendi2003 i'm talking about young designers such as jacquemus, demna gvasalia (vetements/balenciaga), julien dossena (paco rabanne) who never took ricardo designs under consideration -- in fact doing opposite of what he's making
+Theo Almeida funny how those "younger designers" are all now doing those damn graphic prints that he did years back....so maybe all those younger designers can go look for inspiration instead of trying to copy Tisci's blueprint.
"I loved the mixture of buttons and........ y'know it's really fun! That
was very fresh and very different". When you start a sentence and realise
you only noticed the buttons. Givenchy - your go-to for buttons this
Winter.
