My Favourite French Movies
Here I show you my favourite French movies or movies based in Paris that I own. Have you seen any? Is there any French movie that you love and would like to ...
It does not matter where the movie was filmed in! Or where the story takes
place. Only thing which matters is what country made it. There is a older
James Bond movie which was partly filmed in Finland. (story takes place in
Russia). Does not make that James Bond a Finnish or Russian movie. ;)
+Flingship373 I feel like both options have their charm but I have a thing for movie locations. It is totally true that when I went to Paris last year I searched for places I saw in movies lately hahaha For people like me it is important to know that, not because it alters the story but because if you see a place you like and want to see for yourself it is important to know whether it exists or not and where is it!
Such a fabulous selection; I definitely need to watch some of them! 'Hugo'
is my absolute favourite film set in Paris; I adore it so much. Also, I've
said this before, but your hair =
Thanks so much for the recommendations! :) Oh wow, that sounds like an incredible exhibition! I wish I'd heard about it so I could have planned a trip. I have a feeling those photographs would be worth travelling for alone!Oh, that is so sweet! I love mermaid hair too. :D
+Kirsty On Books In case of doubt, start with My afternoons with Margueritte and The Concert! hahaha I'm too big of a fan! Hugo is so special... Two years ago we had here in Barcelona an exhibition on Meliès and the last room had the Hugo mechanic doll and pictures of real life Meliès in his toy shop. It was one of my favourite exhibitions ever!Thank you about the hair =) This last time I asked the hairdresser to cut my hair like a mermaid (I'm currently having an obsession) and showed her a Hilary Duff picture hahaha
I believe that film is "L'auberge Espagnole" or "The Spanish Apartment" (or
"Pot Luck" I have no idea why so many titles...)! I have seen that, and I
really enjoyed it a lot. I understand there are two movies that are sequels
of that one, but I haven't seen those!
I have seen many of the films you mentioned - Amelie and Les Choristes, of
course. I took French language courses for five years in school, and we
watched many movies! Plus I have immense interest in foreign language
films, so I watched many on my own. I have seen Midnight in Paris, Hugo,
Sabrina, The Paradise, The Intouchables (I think that's the English
title...I LOVED THAT ONE). Le Concert sounds wonderful - I really want to
watch that one if you love it so much. As an American, it is so hard to
find some of these films to watch.
Hmmm some more I have seen. "Populaire" with Romain Duris is one that was
very very cute. De Rouille et Do's with Marion Cotillard. Delicacy and Coco
Before Chanel were both good with Audrey Tautou.
Great video! I have never heard of many of these and I am excited to try to
find them to watch :)
+fictitiously L'auberge espagnole sounds very familiar, so that must be it! (Pot Luck? Why that title? It doesn't make much sense! haha). And I had no idea there were sequels! I'll search for them, but I don't think they will also be recorded in Barcelona. You NEED to see Le concert. If you liked The Intouchables, you will love it too. It is one of the few movies that I can watch many times and still laugh as if it were the first time.I'll add your recommendations to my list. In July I'll have the first year of the master's degree finished and I plan to watch all the movies and series and read the books I can't read right now. I'll do a French movies marathon for sure! Thank you!
I love your recommendations. I love Midnight in Paris, it's so delightful.
A French movie that I love is called Romantics Anonymous (that's the
English title, anyway). It's about 2 people who work in a chocolaterie
together, and they are both want to find love, but are too shy to pursue
it! It's very cute! Have you seen Coco, also with Audrey Tatou? That one
was very good. A Hollywood movie that I enjoyed was French Kiss, that's an
old one with Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline.
+Little Prairie Library Romantics Anonymous does sound VERY cute! I haven't seen the Audrey Tautou Coco, I've seen the other one, but it is on my list. Coco Chanel is so mysterious... I haven't seen French Kiss either! Thank you for all your recommendations! Now my list is ever growing haha =) Yay!
