This is one of my all time Christmas songs....it exactly summarizes how I feel about the holiday....when Kermit says "I know there is a light/I have felt it burning bright/and I have seen it shining from afar" it perfectly captures what is unversal about all the festivals about the winter solstice

A great clip with John Denver! The Muppet Show was one of my favourite shows back then. Jim Hension brought magic to the screen every week. He completely scored when he brought JD on board. They worked amazingl;y well together. Two great entertainers gone far too soon! Miss them both.

In your description, you didn't say that John and Kermit appeared at the Embassy, but from the title, one would assume that. It is interesting that the Muppets were also in Moscow for this event. Did they travel with JD for the concerts? Thanks for posting.

Wow, this is something. As I recall, the event was at the Spasso House (the US Ambassador's residence). I was a student in Moscow in 1984 and was in the audience. It was a privilege to line up afterwards and meet JD and Jim Henson.
