Many thanks for this. My 2 year old daughter LOVES this song and now with this video, I hear "Do it again! Do it again!" It's a definite favorite of hers! Great Job. I hope more children get to learn of this song and also see this video for it. I remember this from when I was a kid! Wow this brings back memories.

a few days ago i heared this song on pandora ant i reconized it from some where. it drove me crazy trying to figure out where i hered it from. then i found out that when i was in third grade i was taught the chorus in music class. then i found it on utube ty for posting this so i can relive my memories

omg we listened to this song at school then we had to draw a picture of wat the toy would look like. then after we had to bring a toy from home and bring it to school then write the right lyrics of this song and put different lyrics in it to change it into our own marvelous toy song.! its fun

What a fantastic job you have made of clearing up the mystery of what the toy in Tom's song looked like. A song from my childhood, many thanks. Totally brilliant piece of animation, but I don't know what a winged dog is called, but all my dogs have been ANGELS!.

Those are the cutest little, uhm magical creatures I have ever seen! Great job. Peter, Paul and Mary's original was the best, but John Denver didn't do to bad either. Thanks for sharing and bringing back some buried memories. =D

Now I finally know what the marvelous toy was. It is a very interesting toy, and great video. I don't like this song though, Peter, Paul, and Mary's version is much better.

Nope, this is not Peter, Paul and Mary. It's John Denver, and the song was written by Tom Paxton. Peter Paul and Mary did perform and record it, but this is not them.

Hi Karen.....you're so sweet...Merry Christmas blessings to you also. I love all of your goodies. Your son is sooo handsome. Isn't it awesome to have such awesome kids. Our Christmas day was wonderful with my family. My son and his wife cooked and WOW what a time we had....he had his fire pit going on the deck. I took some pics of his tree to show you...Beach themed, they had gone to Siesta Key (their FAVORITE spot) on Fri & Sat and had the best weather. They get the most awesome sand dollars, and other shells there. I must say that we've had the best weather lately. Gotta love Florida, especially when my niece in Canada lost power the day before Christmas for 25 hours and got a massive coating of snow.
