People of Wollongong - Stephen Dupont - Extended Interview
For our People of Wollongong segment this month we sat down with war photographer and documentarian Stephen Dupont. You can learn more about ...
For Good - Wicked - Stephen Schwartz
[email protected] I know this is horrible of me to post For Good - Cliche... I know... and I'm not a girl.... but whatever :) Molly knew how to play it so ...
One of my favorite songs of any genre. The only problem was the tempo, it
was just way too fast. But even then you both did a wonderful job with the
vocals, they were great. I see from the date of several posts that this is
at least a year old. I would lover to hear the redo this piece because
you're both at a time of life where changes will happen to your voices
quickly...and if you sang it a little slower instead of racing through it
you could get the emotion into the song. Anyway, great!.
A few suggestions: Slow it down a little. No need to race through it. Do it
with a little more emotion. Not so technically. It's really obvious that
you're reading the notes for their exact value and pitch. Jazz it up a
little bit. Feel the notes. Find the original and get a sense of the
emotion in the scene. Other than that, very good. You two blend together
very well.
Okay, here I go again. AMAZING!!! I have always loved this song and I am
impressed that Molly can play and sing at the same time. I just can't do
it. I didn't realize she could play! Bravo! Alex, Alex, Alex boy I sure do
wish that I could see you in action. I am enamored with you and your voice.
Thanks again for such a beautiful rendition.
woah! you got those high notes without going into falcetto! That's crazy!
I'm female and have to go into my head voice for some of that part...
*drops head in shame* haha then again, I am known as "Mother Tenor" :P the
only female tenor in the school choir! Cuz I'm cool like that ;) Great
cover both of you :) Lovely piano playing!!
Love the girl/guy combination here... and you both sound so great together.
I'm agreeing with others who have said it needs to be slowed down... a bit
more bittersweet/melancholy (IMHO). However, the blending of your voices
was dead-on. Thanks for doing this! :)
I love the vocals! The piano part was well played as well. It was a bit
fast and I would love tho hear this done at a slower tempo so we can hear
more of your great voices and how well you harmonized! But still
wonderfull! Thank you for sharing this!
*claps for Ms. Molly!* you two are FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Alex, Love how you made
it your own! you never cease to amaze me pal! Molly, i don't know you, but
you're one of my new favorite voices to listen to now! keep it up guys!!!
It works well as a girl/guy song...l like it ! Thanks. It's one of my all
time fave broadway songs. Thanks and Merry Christmas to both or you! I
shows that you love what you do and are good friends..precious!
Great song choice. I was wondering if you both can sing this song to each
other on regular tempo. I think it would be much better. And yea, wow on
your range Alex. =) Keep it up you both.
id definately slow it down, it loses emotion, and it turns more like a pop
song, and this song was meant to be dripping with emotion, and make ppl
cry, try singing it slower
I don't care about cliches...this is a beautiful song, my favorite from
wicked, and you two had a magical beautiful moment here. Alex your high
notes were amazing...
Song was FANTASTIC. But. That was wayyyyyyy too fast (in my opinion at
least). Even if you look at the other versions, they're a lot longer than
this one.
GLITCH 0:32
GLITCH 0:53
GLITCH 1:33
I stopped listening after these three.
Ha-Ha - there is another version of this song on the Tube, by 'Taran
Moseley', that has the same glitches in the same places.
Which one of the little thieves ripped-off the other?
William Osborne's Lego version is the best on You Tube
+Joey Lock Hmm - the plot thickens.Back in the day, we'd have the needle jump if we were careless with vinyl but when digital arrived we got occasional glitches that weren't necessarily our own fault. I'm surprised this 'Best Ever' CD comp was allowed to be released. Just can't get the staff these days...Cheers, Joey.
+K3KCT Oddly enough the exact same glitches were on this song on my copy of "The Best Christmas Album In The World Ever" I got almost 10 years ago, I have a feeling it was part of the original recording.
