Hey! Great tutorial! Quick and easy and extremely helpful for someone like
me who has just begun with 3ds max.
Question: How do you make your walls so see through?
Thank you!
glad you find these helpful :)When you have an object (or more) selected, press Alt+X to activate see-through (XRay) mode. Press it again to toggle back to normal mode.Cheers.

good question, I'll put it on my "ToDo" list. Basically, create a Foliage
object and then open the Material Editor. Use the Pick Material icon and
click the Foliage object. This displays the Foliage material in the
Material Editor. It's a Multi-Sub material that you can edit to your
liking. Like I said, it'll make a good how-to movie and I'll put it on my
list of "potentials". Thanks.
before doing something drastic as reinstalling, create a UTypeStair (even
if it is out of whack) and then try editing its values in the Modify panel.
Adjust them to something that makes sense and then try again with another
one using clicks and drags. See if that resets your stair system.
Wouldn't it have made more sense to use the AEC extended railing directly
on the splines (so that all railing parameters could be controlled from the
same place), instead of making the splines renderable and then turning off
the rails?
@RFC3514 a valid argument, you can certainly do that, but you'd need to
move the railing down as you cannot specify a negative value for the top
rail height, the way you can for the posts extension value.
in the video i can see you have kept a blueprint of house and then
modelled. can you tell me how you imported it and how you resized it
according to dimensions?
