Anyone who likes this song and Bette in genreal, should try and get their hands on her stand-up show "Mud Will Be Flung Tonight". Don't know if it is on video but definitely is on audio. It is excellent.

It looked like in the beginning she was going to try and do the whole thing sitting down, but her impulses drove her to put on a show. Fascinating how performers feel more comfortable "hamming it up".
