Lan Fin well I get pops and backfires sometimes when I downshift or let go of the throttle but I also have 4to1 header high flow cat and no resonator it happens more when I put a higher octane gas too glad you like it
Lan Fin I installed it. This is my first aftermarket exhaust muffler, so I don't know what to expect from it. It sounds deeper, and louder than stock for sure. The noise level of this muffler is just right, so when people cruise on the highway, it is not too loud. I don't know if it sounds exactly the same on here. Kinda hard to tell the differences when I'm in the car. I liked it, and think it is worth the money. However, I did like more exhaust growling, rumbling, and cracking. Maybe I can achieve some of those by replacing the resonator. Unequal length exhaust manifold is not the right choice for me (I will wait until I turbo it). Another thing is: This muffler is lighter than the stock muffler a few pounds at least.
Lan Fin Oh, that was me cheapez. For those of you that can't remove your exhaust from the exhaust hangers, use a puller that is similar to a ball joint, and connecting rod puller. Use one that is small enough. I had to used something like that to removed my car's muffler from its exhaust hangers. They were too tight, and impossible for me to .....
jason pagan Today, I installed this exhaust muffler without succeed. The bolt holes did not align. I enlarged one of the bolt hole a little bit, but still, I could not forced it in. To make it fit, I would have to drill a different hole on the exhaust flange, but it does not have extra spaces for that. Even if I can bolt it on, the exhaust would be restricted a little bit where they were bolted. Tomorrow, I will take the muffler down to re-weld the exhaust flange.
jason pagan Thanks for sharing with us. I was going to ask the same question. Youtuber "Noah Fox" has the same muffler, but I think he bought the one for 1990-1998 Miatas instead of 1999-2005 Miatas. That is why he required to modify it a little bit. They sounded the same to me though.
jason pagan wicked! how would you compare the sound and size to the iNvidia N1?been looking for one as an alternative to the likes of racing beat, coblat etc (which all seem to like to make these engines raspy as hell :( )I'll check out the seller! thanks!
