I am only afraid of needles if they're associted with drug addiction. When I see movies featuring scenes of heroin addiction that's really the equivalent of an horror movie to me, it scares me a lot I think it's not the needle itself it is the fact that it can pass diseases along and also the effect the drug could have on my body. I avoid being in contact with needles, only go on take blood when doctors prescribes exams, because I am afraid to be infected with some kind of disease, lol it's kind of crazy. But I practised acunpuncture without problems...My mother though is afraid of the needles itself, I don't understand why lol.
