he decided he wanted a "hippie" name like his brother and sisters, so he
started calling himself Leaf. He went back to his birth name of Joaquin as
an adult.

You should've included the scene where Gary trashes his dental office with
a hammer (the fucker deserved it based on this alone). This is a
heartbreaking scene and I think this movie still holds up today because so
much of it parallels real life.
