TRU really kind of did it self in when they reset the stores from supermarket like isles of toys to the island/ bay set up were, you could no longer stroll the isles up and down. I went in to a TRU store back in the early 2000's were I was greeted by this labyrinth, when I was trying to get a birthday present for a neighbor... Just finding the Dolls took almost a half hour. That's when I noticed toys are us was not doing so hot. But the decline really started most likely with the closing of Kids R Us, their Kids clothing shop, Most of my clothing came form here until I out grew out of girls 16X,.

+Donatello97 found out in the mid 90's the FCC law stated stuff minimum allowed educational shows instead of random cartoons to be allowed on TV. That definitely marked a start. and i guess rise of computers. i can't go in toys r us anymore, they are shell of their former selves.

The 80's and early early90's (90-92) were magical times indeed. ;)something happened during the mid 90's, and it gradually all want down hill after that.

Ever walk around a TRU now? It's a jumbled up maize of areas that have no rhyme or reason. The old stores with straight isles were easy to navigate and they were well stocked. Change doesn't necessarily mean change for the better.

That is a really beautiful car, I love it! As far as I know we got at least one like this one here in Sweden. That one is lightgreen with black top. It got the Packard V8 and the Continental kit. Damn I love American Motors! Take care!

I can't say I care for the continental kit. I think most look rather tacky. But the rest of the car is beautiful! I have always loved cars by American Motors.
