Replacing shift linkage to help eliminate the slop in the shifter. I used the linkage from a 92-95 civic but it was about an inch longer. I shortened it and welded it ...
The transmission was leaking when I first bought it but that was it. The car runs great still and gets good mpg's too. The transmission is leaking again though. I missed something and it's so annoying to have to drop it again.
if you are still having a lot of play after you change the linkage, it is
the shifter I am sure of it. The bushings in the shifter are worn I have
the same problem with my 99civic em1, replace the shifter with maybe the K
tuned shifter I just grabbed one and I'm about to install it, you should
have no play after wards
