When becoming a male model, a person needs to decide whether to work freelance or for an agency. Become a male model with tips from a talent scout in this ...
Hello my name is Yasniel Ortega, from child I want to be a model, I like
eating healthily and I love the beach. I am a happy person and i love to be
around friends. Now I am 17 years old, measure 5.7 and weigh 120, but no
agency want me for modeling because they say that I am very small. But
where goes all my passion that I have for modeling? I just cant give up.. I
have to do something for me and for all those boys and girl out there the
have the same need of modeling. i just need your support
*Sigh* this told me nothing, I need to know what to do to get established
even though I'm to short to be normally established, since I've only 5'9 in
addition to other things that arnt fitting of the traits of a male model,
such as not having lost enough wight yet being 17.8 lbs) and according to
some who at least acted like they know what their talking about, I have a
"boy next door" look, and not unique enough (although idk how you can
qualify being alike right down to hight as unique)
@LBJTV yeah i'm also sick too about those cocky fugly people who thinks
they looks so good and they even have the audacity to post their pictures
for the world to see even when it's not worthy to be praise of. i've
already decided that i can't be a model bcoz i don't take nice photos all
the time. I'll rather stick to being a businessman or maybe a talent scout
or if rich enough to have a modelling agency bcoz i know the difference
between an extraordinary beauty from just a wannabee.
I came to this video because I've been having some trouble finding a job,
because I'm not 18, (I'm 17 btw), I'm kinda short standing at 5'8, but I'm
sure I'm still growing due to the fact a lot of my family members are tall.
I have a nice muscular body build from playing football, and I've been told
I am "pretty attractive", and am a "pretty-boy"... Not to mention the fact
I don't have a generic face. I'm starting t get interested in this whole
model thing... Will I qualify? O___o
hey ive been told alot to go into modeling, because I'm apparently very
good looking, have great body shape and just the overall look. even a
female model once said that to me and she has high standards...I'm 6.1ft,
155 lbs, but I'm only 15 and I'm bound to be gaming more weight soon...do
you know if that's something they would be interested in? I've never really
thought about it seriously until now, does anybody have some helpful advice
for me please?
I really hate modelling. I am currently working out but I am under very
tight constraints and I am in a broken home, so things are always getting
in my way and I am always being harassed by hypocrites. Anyways I want to
kill and burn anyone who is beautiful and has a beautiful body and shows it
off for sexual purposes because I will never have the opportunity to have a
ripped sexy body and nice car. This is too bad even though every day I try
so hard.
Too bad it is only to be ruined by a broken home that controls me and
blames everything on me, yet it is their fault for getting in my way and
ruining everything for me, yet I am the one who is blamed. Perception is
fogged and judgement is blinded. How do I get out of this mess? Please
somebody help me or I will continue to hate and make du3a towards those who
I am jealous of and that I have worked so hard to become like and have.
pretty much. Yes. Depends what line of work you'd do. For commercial
modelling, it's mostly the product people care about but the model's
features need to attract attention as well.. For fashion, not everyone is
good-looking. Depends on your taste, but what matters the most is strong
facial bone structure, slim (female) or toned (male) body and confidence..
I'm sure you know this already but i hope i helped..
I'm thinking of going into an open call at Ford Models, I'm 16 and they say
the Ford men requirements are 6'0 to 6'2, I'm like 5'11 and I'm not sure if
I should still go in or wait till I grow a little more. I met a Ford Model
and her mom and they both said that I have a great look and a great
personality and I should go in for an open call... what should I do?
the really help(: im dyinq to be a model...i stay at cali(: but seriously i
dont got that guts to qo out there.... i subscribe. BUT SERIOUSLY I HAVE A
BIG QUESTION...DOES YOUR SPEAKING ABILITIES OR ''ACCENT''.....CAN BE
ACCEPTABLE...? PLEASE SOMEONE OUT THERE HELP.....! THANK YOU VERY MUCH...OH
HOW TALL I HAVE TO BE...IM LIKE 5'6 I THINK...!
@voss1551 That's pretty demeaning. Of course looks have a lot to with with
it, but 60% of modeling is talent, personality and ability. Male modeling
is an incredibly competitive and fast paced industry, and especially if
someone is continuously prevalent in it, that person is more than just tall
and gorgeous.
@01thrilla By a scout on myspace, but it has such categories as nude/art
which pays up to 3500 a day so i guess depending on how the agency works is
what kind of jobs will be found for you. I'm still not even sure if I'm
going to take the offer yet but there is a number you can call for details
if you want it
i have just recently been given an offer to model, but feel kind of funny
that the agency told me that when a job comes up no matter what it is it
had to be taken ...that kinda makes me feel pressured lol they also told me
20% as well as 144$ fee for becoming a part of some database and fill out
paperwork
@mja3194 people always thinks like that. people also thinks if i'm a model
or i should model but i know i don't have a perfect body & i don't look
good in cameras/videos all the time so you should know better. i've decided
a long time ago modelling or being an actor is not for me.
Research model agencies in your area and build a portfolio with about ten
pictures, make shore at least two are black and white. When arriving to the
modeling agency make shore to wear something simple like jeans and a tee
shirt to show your physique. The rest is on you.
i want to become a male model, im 19, tall, carmel skinned, and ive been
told that i have a really nice face, i have a great personality and i love
taking photos, you can follow me on twitter @xCREATEDx and my facebook is
Jerrod Campbell, dont be afraid to add me :D
im looking into this cuz I have been searching and applying for jobs and I
cant get my first job because I need experience, how the hell am I going to
get experience if the older people are taking them "they took ER JOBS!" I
need money. Shit.
What about the need of have a nice face, a nice body and being tall? I just
hate the fact that in my zone even a midget could be a model just by having
some abs and a nice hair cut, and they are all under the minimum tall
requirements...
@GIA13615093 Well yeah..but when people say ''strong facial bone
structure'', they mean the face has sleek bone structure that you can
see..''defining'' bones lines on the jaw for example...no fatty
chicken-looking necks or chubiness
You can break the rules!!! I have done fashion advertising at age 34 and I
was only 5 '10. I made the stores and GQ mag. I also DID IT MYSELF and had
no agent! :-) You just have to know how to work a look and have the BEST
pics.
@iJustDontGiveAShit you know people who works at mc donalds in my city
looks like models. but what do you think about those supermodels who think
they were once ugly? have you ever heard of bdd?(body dysmorphic disorder)?
False? So tell me where is this huge demand for male models opposed to
female models? I am not saying there is no need for male models that IS
false. But you have to admit the female model world is extremely
competitive.
@MattyMcCritic I don't like the idea of that having to take a job no matter
what it is. When I sign my contract I want to have a clause that protects
my right to turn away certain jobs that I am morally opposed to doing.
excuse me. are you saying modeling is sexual? modeling is not just sexually
showing off, as a matter of fact it barely is. modeling is the art of
beauty and passion. it is more than simply just looking good.
I believe 6'6 is too tall for most runways because you might have a
difficult time fitting into the clothes. However, you might be able to
become a print model or a fitness model.

There is no doubt if this aspiring male model was the brother of Paris
Hilton or a son of a famous celebrity.. he would probably be on the top by
now. Sadly most aspiring models really struggled to even get discovered and
get signed by an agency. Luckily for Kendall, she has a media whore/pimp
mother and sister Kim who has all the connections so she will never ever
have to struggle. But however in fairness, I do believe Kendall has model
good looks and I do like her more than her other no talent sisters... Gigi
on the other hand has famous parents , but I feel Gigi probably had some
some struggled during her younger days. I mean she had some rejections and
she even mentioned that she was rejected during her audition with
Victoria's Secret before.
