+moatguy It is the only way possible to bring the species back. It's a method that's been used pretty much everywhere. It's a given that we cannot completely bring back the species perfectly. So it's best to work with what you've got.
+moatguy Well yeah, that's obvious. We don't exactly know what these people do. Everyone has different methods. But it is mentioned that they used an embryo from another species when trying to revive another animal. So it's possible they would use another canine species that closely resembles the Tasmanian until they have a stable population.
+Ayla Williamson Not really. But I'm sure anyone still working on this project has this in mind. The people here have long since nearly forgotten this project from what I've seen looking though the comments. Terribly sorry that I do not have further information on this.
+Ayla Williamson Damn dude, I don't have any answers, I just watched the video series on this. Now, if you can flag down any organizations involved then send that to them.
+Canis - lol I was trying to say that even if they can create a functioning thylacine group, it may not be able to live in a world of sheep and mice and rats and people spreading foreign diseases. The Tasmanian devil's depletion in population didn't start happening until Europeans began colonizing and the tumourus disease could very well wipe out the thylacine before they even have a chance to take back their corner of the world. What then? Are the scientists going to have to make them virus resistant? or have larger litters than originally? It's a terrifying thought, but maybe our world has changed so much that there IS no more Tasmania left for the thylacine. I still think they deserve a chance to live and adapt/go extinct at their own pace and not ours.
Just one could have an entire DNA coding with it. So yes, one could bring back plenty.

@itchyundies The kingswood has gone, after 13 years of faithful service,
Rosaline has gone to a new home. I sold her to a young guy who is going to
do her up. I just hope when I get back to Australia he hasn't humiliated
the old girl, painting her in gaudy colours!
@overlander Sure you do, I play a Steve Huber Lancaster model with a gold

Reminds me of rural N/E Georgia, where chat-up lines include "I'll clean
out a room in ma trailer for ya babe", and "can I tickle yer tummy from
inside", and the evergreen "wanna be buried with my lot honey?".
@NorCalExplorer I survived the north west corner of Tasmania, where a newly
married bride gets all her teeth knocked out at the wedding, so she don't
cost her husband any money at the dentist!!
