Kevin Smith: Why Ben Affleck Will Be The Best Batman
From Kevin Smith's podcast "Fatman on Batman" an excerpt from the podcast, I own nothing. I just wanted to share his thoughts, because I agree and he made ...
Did he actually just say Christian Bale is the best batman. Oh lord.
Christian is the worst batman, his batman wasnt true to the comics which I
hated, well to me he was a rubbish batman, Ben Affleck will kill it. DKR
FTW
+AcctNo4 Well im sure more than a billion people (if they read your shitty ass comment which is just you bein a bitch) would hate you. Joker will never be some serious character who doesnt laugh on a regular basis and spends most of his time being serious. Read his name dipshit 'The Joker' The Bronze age joker wasnt that serious in anyways but the last thing you would ever say is "Mark Hamills voice sucks balls" because that voice inspired nearly every version of the character. Something tells me your some shitty ass kid who spends most of his time hating instead of liking what he gets.
+BiscuitKilla02 Hamill's voice didn't match the tone of the series. In 1992, the makers behind Batman:Animated Series were inspired by the serious portrayal of Batman in the 1989 Burton film following the previous camp live-action versions of Batman in the 60s, etc.. and they decided to make the 1992 series mature and serious in tone. Thus each episode was mature and moody- my favourite being the dark 2 Face portrayal and episodes. The only episodes that were silly, stupid, and irrelevant-to the point of being predictable- were the Joker episodes. When Hamil walked in to the auditions, the cartoon makers (who were geeks) were so star struck that was this Luke Skywalker, even though they knew that his voice acting for the serious would be in stark contrast to the dark tone they were reaching for. But they really worshipped Luke Skywalker, so the sacrifice that they made was that the rest of the series was dark and mature, but the Joker episodes would be silly, stupid and irrelevant to fit with Hamil's silly, stupid Joker voice. Thus, people like me miss out because I do not get to see mature, serious, poignant Joker episodes. Mark Hamil is a dick. Yes, he portrayed Luke Skywalker but it was George Lucas that gave life to that character. All Hamil does is read the fucking lines, nothing special. Dickhead.
+AcctNo4 I agree but you can never say Mark Hamills voice sucked balls!! Thats like one of the stupidest things i have ever heard. You cant imagine his voice differantly. Jareds Joker will be the only thing in SS that i will actually like, and to be honest that movie is gonna flop just like Deadpool. As I said Joker will be the only thing in the movie that will actually be interesting.
+BiscuitKilla02 Legder's Joker sucked balls! In my opinion, The Joker has never been done perfectly in film or animation. Hamil's Joker voice even bigger sucked balls- the worst characterization of Joker ever! The best Joker was the one drawn in the 70s comic books- you know, that tall lanky figure with the extra long chin. Jared's Joker will probably be the best one in film yet, but the look is totally different to that 70s look I liked. But I welcome this new interpretation of Joker; let's just hope the film overall doesn't suck, but you can't expect much from screenwriters nowadays.
+Jack Moody To be honest man I see more of batman in him then i do in christian. He was just a slow fighter and was no where near the worlds greatest detective but i see what you mean with clooney
+Xavier Garcia Enough about your mother's sexual history.

i would be ashamed
"I AM DARKNESS I AM THE NIGHT"
I scrolled for a while but didn't see anyone say it exactly, so if I'm
repeating this, sorry. The episode he was referring to was the Final
episode of Justice League Unlimited Season 1 titled "Epilogue" where in
which the JL were fighting against an installment of the Royal Flush Gang,
second or third incarnation. Ace was warping reality and Bruce takes
Hawkwoman's place to kill Ace. She just wanted a childhood before she died
and Batman went out and sat with the poor girl holding her hand until she
undid what she did and died in his arms.
That scene is the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to Batman as
well.
+yeahthisisntmyname The podcasts are mainly for exploring more of the culture and other media surrounding comics since Comic Misconceptions mainly focusses more on the comic book side of things.
My favorite Batman villain, and of all time, is Poison Ivy. She's hot,
seductive, and toxic; classic femme fatale. Wish she had more spotlight in
the comics through.
I know this is a very late comment since I just recently found out about
this awesome channel :) As a comic fan, can't believe I hadn't found this
channel sooner. You guys have great content!
The Bet Batman Moment Ever :
Batman has Maroni over a ledge
Batman : Wheres the joker?
Maroni: from this place , fall wouldn't kill me.
Batman: Im considering it.
Batman drops Maroni of the ledge and he brakes his legs in pain
Batman : WERE IS HE!!
Maroni: I dont know were he is
Batman: SOMEONE KNOWS
Maroni : the joker has no rules , you do and you know the only way to get
him if you just take off that mask.
(ps. most of this is shorten and probably missing lines) (Best Batman movie
: Dark knight, Best Batman: Bale)
Patrick Leahy also appears in The Dark Knight Rises as one of the Wayne
Board members who defends Bruce when Daggett tries to take over the
company. This retroactively explains his appearance in Dark Knight. Also,
was the 007 villain using a space mirror to reflect the sun a tongue in
cheek line? A weapon along similar lines appeared in two Bond films: the
diamond-laser satellite in Diamonds Are Forever (1971), but more explicitly
the Icarus in Die Another Day, which was 5 years after B&R
The movie that makes every nerd on this planet look starkly into the mirror
and discover this was meant for them. There's nothing remotely absurd about
this movie that is not abundantly obvious in the concept itself. What is
more ridiculous? A man dressed in a refrigerated outfit or a bat costume? I
think if you can dignify either one, you deserve what you got. Grow up
kids. You see the movies and buy the toys. Your mentality is no higher than
the one sought in this screenplay.
You may not have known this, Captain, but the guard with the speaking lines
was now former governer Jesse Ventura. Around this time of Arnold doing
movies, Arnold always had him as a cameo. Speaking of Batman, i sure hope
you get a chance to check out The Dark Knight Returns Part 1. i just got
finished watching it. Probably, by far, the best animated movie DC has done
yet. Just an incredible piece of work.
I've mostly been picking stuff I've reviewed already or just know really
well, and getting people I do videos with who know those movies too. We'll
be branching out and doing other movies too. Basically we have to know it
well enough to talk about it for the duration of the film and I've tried to
pick things a lot of people probably own or can get their hands on. -CL
Senator Patrick Leahy in addition to his roles in batman/robin,dark knight
and the animated series played a far greater role in relation to batman
when he supported the passing of a bill banning land mines through an issue
of batman entitled Batman loss of inocence the horror of land mines, leahy
has a speech in the back of the comic addressing the issue.
I saw this in theaters when I was 10. I also got nearly all of the toys
from the line for Christmas from various relatives. I was a HUGE Batman fan
(still am) and even I was kinda disappointed when I saw it. Though the toys
weren't that bad, except for both of the girl characters having those dumb
hip/pelvis diagonal swivels. (\I I/)
You're better then me, Cap and Manos, but i gotta say this is my ultimate
guilty pleasure, and from the case of a Bat fan like myself, i'm gonna burn
in hell for this But i loved Uma Thurman in this film, but aside from that,
i got nothing it's so bad it's good. And as far as i'm concerned i forgive
Joel Schmacher for this.
I saw 'Batman Forever' & 'Batman & Robin', respectively on their opening
day with my best friend & I had that same experience about their endings,
as well like The Real Manos talked about from 11:14-12:16 with people in
the theatre applauding the ending to 'Batman Forever' & not as much for
'Batman & Robin'.
Also, I really don't think that Viviva Fox was meant to be Fries's
girlfriend. He specifically says that "my (Mr. Freeze) heart beats for his
wife's alone" I took that to mean that he had never been with another woman
after his wife got sick. Maybe I got that wrong though. (\I I/)
Best commentary yet! Absolutely Hilarious. I laughed so hard when you
started singing "unforgiveble..." because they play that song every single
day at the grocery store I work at. "That was easy. Next time we fight a
villain, I'm gonna look for hoses!"
The only issue I had with this hilarious commentary, is the statement that
'a lot of people don't like the Nicholson' Joker... Thank goodness I know
none of these people! As well as anyone who hates Romero's or even Mark
Hammil's. They are all awesome!
In Watchmen, Hollis Mason wrote in Under the Hood that he tried to hold up
his domino mask with a string and it almost got him killed so he started
using spirit gum, as it's the same material that actors use for stage
facial hair, among other things.
The fact that you need to audio it cause of copyright confuses me; who
actually gives a shit about this...don't want to say
movie...copyrights...is there some mentally challenged guy who's dedicated
to protecting this movies rights?
7:11.; Even as a kid, I considered the Elliot Goldenthal score to 'Batman &
Robin' as a re-mix to 'Batman Forever'... The way I see it, the 'Batman &
Robin' score & the sound-track, respectively are much better than the
movie.
i enjoyed the effort you put into this long vid. its a good idea, but i
think it might be even better if you try to do something like what
fanboyflicks did. kinda how they did it by showing clips and on a couch
etc. still great.
A movie that is terrible and then great during the last 20 minutes. The
last Twilight movie. I haven't seen it but I've head the last action scene
is worth the price of admission even though the rest of the movie is crap.
Fun Fact! While watching this with the commentary synced up, My sister
(whose 11 & has NO idea of what Batman really is) walked in the room while
the movie was on & said "That doesn't look anything like batman"
Can you include some reference points up during the video to show what time
you're on? I lost my internet connection during the video and found it
difficult to get back in sync because you went off on tangents.
Funfact Cap, around 1:06:11, as i recall Rene Russo was supposed to be the
female lead in Forever/Batman 3 when Burton, and Keaton were still
attached. But Robin Wright was almost cast as Chase, before Kidman.
lol I have read it, and I've raved about it a lot on the channel, so I
didn't bring it up because I was a little embarassed not to be able to
think of any other good Penguin stories. -CL
Happened on accident-- Manos asked if he could do Batman and Robin, I said
let's do Batman Forever first, and Returns got lost in the shuffle. That'll
be the next Batman movie we do. -CL
I swear I'm not trying to point out every time you're wrong about ages, but
Val Kilmer is actually 2 years older than Clooney. Though I suppose he did
look younger then him at the time.
I never knew this movie existed until I saw the Nostalgia Critic's review
of it. Then again, I was either a fetus or an infant when this movie came
out and no one I knew owned a copy.
30:06.; I had no idea that Vivica A. Fox was even in this movie until you
made mention of this part... I learned something new, today about this
failtastic work of art.
@ Geekvolution, I think Clooney would have been a excellent choice for Iron
Man. Don't get me wrong, Downey is great, but I think Clooney would have
been just as good.
I'm a little surprised neither of you brought up the Brave and the Bold
cartoon which did the lighter hearted batman right. It is a perfect answer
to this travesty.
Yea the niplples on Ozymandias were subtle. And it is implied that the
charecter is gay. And saying Watchmen is a far superior film to this is an
understatement.
Haha your right! TBH its not the fact that there is nipples on the suits
but rather the fact they make them so obvious. I only just noticed them on
Ozymandias.
Ben Affleck as Batman?! - Completely Unnecessary Podcast
Pat and Ian discuss Ben Affleck being cast as Batman in the upcoming Batman vs Superman, as well as Man of Steel. Listen to the entire podcast here: ...
relating boy scouts to negative outlooks makes it an insult, whether you want to admit to it or not. the more proper word you could use to describe you'r feelings and opinions about superman would be Paragon. the way i see it, you seem to be bored with Superman being portrayed as a paragon.
Calling Superman a boy scout isn't an insult. It's just stating that people prefer a character with more apparent flaws and a more unpredictable moral compass.
what makes you think I took your statement literally? my point is trying to insult someone or something by calling them a boy scout shows that you see it as something negative, when really you'r attitude is whats negative for thinking that being a boy scout is considered undesirable or wrong. whats you'r beef with people who enjoy communing with nature?
blind loyalty has nothing to do with boy scouts, you're thinking of military, boy scouts are not flawless they simply are trying to learn the ways of the outdoors which many sheltered people in today's society seem to find useless, and if you think it's boring than clearly you never learned to appreciate the great outdoors.
+Chris Lockhart i'll never understand why people think calling someone a boy scout is insulting, somehow in retarded peoples brains, having skills and morals is a weakness.
(Podcast Special) Batman Begins Commentary
Audio Commentary on Batman Begins with Oliver Harper and actor Duncan Casey - //www.imdb.com/name/nm4317541/?ref_=nv_sr_1 To gain access to ...
Oh man... You two lads crack me up so much! I'm not even watching the film
at the same time, just listening to the commentary while cooking :)
Duncan's impressions (Bale, Caine) are really good, too. Take my money!
Just take it!
Fantastic commentary, both funny and insightful. And you guys are right --
Begins is the best in the trilogy (IMO the best superhero movie ever). This
helped me appreciate that even more.
This really took me aback cause after the shambolic previous two batman
movies this came along and I knew nothing about Nolan. This is the epic
Batman movie that needed to happen.

Batman has arrived on the Be-Mpowered Podcast. Join Simon Miller and Ashley Day to chat everything Batman and then some, including the travesty that is Ben ...
I have to say I prefer Jack Nicholson's Joker. The character fits perfectly
into the Batman world that Tim Burton crafted for that movie, which is also
my favourite portrayal of Gotham.
Great Episode as always! I disagree with everything you say probably 75% of
the time, (Gotham is an absolute Dog Shit of a show! and Dark Souls is a
great game - lol!), but it never matters as I just love your show and views
on things. I think it's the fact that you aren't a know it all and are so
honest about it - it's so refreshing after all of the know it all podcasts
that are out there. You like what you like and you don't like what you
don't like and I admire you for that. Don't ever change. It also helps that
you are as funny as fuck too! Well done sir!
Looking forward to the Star Wars show, as again I know you aren't a know it
all fan - and I'm looking forward to the Metal episode - all though there
is no contest between Maiden and Metallica - Up the Irons all the way ! ;0)
Keep up the good work!
I appreciate that, dude. Thank you! That's the best way to be as well. And as ever I'm always up to hear what you think of things man. We may argue forever about Metallica/Maiden, though :).
It would! The stuff that excites me about Dawn of Justice is where they seem to be taking cues from TDKR but that means all the JLA stuff they seem to be throwing in makes me really worried.
Arkham Knight's First Misstep - Podcast Beyond
The Beyond crew talks about how much they're excited to become Batman again, despite a recent misstep.
Is it too much to ask that people as credible enough to have nearly 6
million subscribers and a well made, highly visited website, would take a
minute to do some research before they go on a podcast and look like a
bunch of idiots?
Man you guys must not have alot of stuff to cover lol to start bitching
and nitpicking about one of the best super hero Fictional game franchises
made , once again IGN logic
