does it have hot idle problems? that fan is so slow at idle
Tyler Perry Joins TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2 - AMC Movie News
Variety is reporting that TEENAGE MUTNT NINJA TURTLES 2 has just added another cast member as Tyler Perry has joined the film and will play the scientist ...
This will generate Spin off Films such as Baxter's big happy family, I can
do evil all by myself and spin off shows such as Meet the Stockmans and
House of Saki.
Im not a fan of his own movies, but he was good in Gone Girl and other
flicks. With every new announcement I get more excited that it seems they
are drawing inspiration from the IDW run of comics. They didnt explore
that inspiration nearly enough in the 1st flick, but Im hoping they pack
more in to this one.
I'm cautiously optimistic for sure.
I think he will play the secret evil genius role quite well. Hopefully they do like the comics where at first it seems he is just an average scientist working under pressure from bad people, but come to find out he isnt so innocent himself and turns out being almost as much of a threat as the main bad guy...which I'm guessing will be Shredder, and I wouldn't be surprised if Krang/the Utroms shows up and is found to be the mastermind behind everything. Or maybe they will take an actual leap and go with the 2003 animated series, (SPOILERS).......where Shredder is a krang/Utrom himself.
Yeah, I bet they will do it, because I don't want to see Tyler Perry as this afro-loser guy, I want to see him as this major villain character, to unravel more of the Baxter that K. Todd Freeman portrayed in the previous movie
+devon white I beg your pardon? 1. I am not from the USA. 2. I am not "black" although I like to consider myself closest to my black side. 3. I am making money too and even if I weren't I would still dislike this coon. 4. It's okay if you like him. We can't all see the bigger picture and why his negative films are given a pass. Have you any idea how many disgusting black films are hailed up along with their coon black directors as masterpieces by the white community and disillusional black females? Colour Purple, Precious and Tyler Perry films. My opinion is not bigoted and does not affect you. If you get upset, you need to do something drastic about your life. Bless.
How can you hate Tyler Perry as a person? He seems like a cool guy and I have a lot of respect for him for how he started off as very poor and was able to build an empire practically from the ground up. I mean, I haven't seen any of his movies as a director because most of them don't look like my kind of films. But I still mad respect for what's he has been able to do.
+Dougla Don why he out making money and do not say this coon bs sell out shit that's worng with black folks worrie about other people shit and yes am black
+GamerGuyd7Aces Good news then. He's not directing this. He was surprisingly good in Gone Girl so I'll definitely be willing to give him a chance here.
AMC Movie Talk - Patrick Stewart Chats X-MEN, Penelope Cruz as New BOND Girl?
On this episode of AMC Movie Talk (Monday June 3rd, 2013) we discuss: 1) Weekend box office surprises 2) Patrick Stewart chats X-Men Days of Future Past 3) ...
after earth made like 240 mill
the kid was great but he was kind of unknowns
its not like the hunger games where you get all of these big major stars
and a powerfull famous story
its some scifi novel in a kind of short movie about one kid and he made 240
mill
I'm just saying karate kid / after earth two totally diffurent worlds he
doesn't have the tv cred's to be interesting to teen audiences. All things
a mildly famous black teen with no tv cred's doing a movie like that is a
big risk! 240 is an amazing number for that movie !!!
What the fuck does racism have to do with nepotism?? John was talking about
father/son privilege shit. Don't waste the race card on shit that has
absolutely nothing to do with racism just because you wanna say shit but
don't actually have anything to say. All you're doing is fucking it up for
people who do have a legit reason to speak up against racism. Learn how to
dissect points in a discussion and how to articulate comprehensive thoughts
before trying to talk shit. Stop being a fucking moron.
JOHN i do want to apologize for using the races card... but come on alot of
people in hollywood use their favorite people in films im a huge fan of the
show and on more than 3 shows you said its not unusual for a director and
actor to work together if they like each other or work well together ...
why is that ok but this father and son duo isnt??? again bash the movie if
its bad i havent seen it yet but look up after earth reviews and everyones
main point is will being jadens dad thats annoying
Personally, I would've liked for Matthew Vaughn to direct "Days of Future
Past" but I feel that it's more appropriate now for Singer to come back
seeing as how he co-produced/wrote (story not screenplay) "First Class" (I
think just just to get some credit cuz he did X-Men & X2) and "Superman
Returns" was some shit. But I look forward to #DaysofFuturePast2014, I
trust Singer will direct the shit out of this one, and satisfied that
Matthew Vaughn is co-producing and co-writing (screenplay).
Dude seriously race has nothing to do with it. His kid is a good actor but
that doesn't mean Will Smith needs to shoe horn his kid into all these
roles. Karate Kid wasn't bad but honestly I enjoyed Jackie Chan's character
more then Jaden's. There is a difference between the family business and
what Will is doing. Other kids of famous celebrities have been in movies
but the parents didn't make rolls for them instead they helped there kid
behind closed doors and getting them a role
First of all there is nothing productive about watching a movie it's
blatant wast of time, we watch movies for personal satisfaction to add
momentary happiness to our lives we can live without it. And yes I do base
my decision to watch a movie or not based on it's run times and movies
reviews (other people's opinions) especially if its a movie I'm not sure
about, I do have 3rd reason the Trailer & how good it portrays a movie but
that can be overridden by my first 2 reasons.
John u r right racist was the wrong word but my point remains is will smith
the only person who puts his family or friends in film? Why is that such a
big deal that he puts his son in his films please explain.. Adam Sandler
only acts with his best friends, judd apotow (I know is misspelled) puts
his wife in every single movie he does... but will smith has 3 movies with
his son and its a big deal if the film is bad say its bad or jaden isn't
that good or what ever
Doing that saves me time & money so counter productive? (which makes no
sense when you say that) I don't think so. If I didn't value some one else
s opinions on movies I probably wouldn't watch this show & avoid movie
reviews from sites like rotten tomatoes. One of my favorite shows a long
time ago was Ebert & Roeper who did nothing but review movies. And I stated
my reason why I dislike short films, because the majority of the time they
suck
After Earth - Shamhammer needs to go the Uwe Bolle road. Making bad movies,
that make back movie thru some weird loop hole in the space time German
law. I don't think he can salvage his Hollywood career. Unless he goes with
comedy. Overall I think his ego is a wreck, and it is not balanced by his
talent. His movies are not that great. 6th Sense had moments, it was only
the twist that made repeat views trying to catch the keys to the twist.
RACIST?!?!?! WHAT.... THE... FUCK are you talking about?!?!?! Don't pull
that "racist" bullshit with me. What the hell does Will Smith being black
have to do with this?!?! This is about a mega superstar putting his own kid
in movies that we have to pay to see. It's not a black or white thing and
it was never even mentioned as a consideration and I find it offensive that
you would even enter such a disgusting thing into the conversation.
i do agree and racism was definitely the wrong word if u youtube after
earth review every single reviewer is bashing it or main talking point is
will and jaden being father and son if the movie is bad say its bad i
havent seen it yet but when i do i may think its bad... im just saying dont
single out these two like theyre the first to do this and fail just say u
dont like like it why does them bein father and son even matter
LEGO MOVIE 2 Plot Details - AMC Movie News
Filmmakers Chris Miller and Phil Lord, who wrote and directed the first LEGO MOVIE have been giving some details about the upcoming sequel. The pair won't ...
I agree with John, the human element was my least favorite part of the
movie. I want to see where all of our favorite characters are and what have
they built. And if Superman and Green Lantern do become actual roommates.
:)
Does someone else think that the plot details make Lego 2 sound like Toy
Story?
A Lego-figure/Buzz Lightyear-figure has an existential crisis after having
"figured" out its true identity as a plaything - and we get to see the
influences from the child growing up.
It doesn't bother me too much though since this particular story hasn't
been reused as much as others in Hollywood. There might also be more
unknown nuances that will make Lego 2 its own.
I think they are going for the whole Toy Story 3 route instead of the route of the whole trilogy that put Pixar on the map and began and ended it's golden age.
it was a very heartwarming ending because that's what LEGO is all about. Using your imagination to make the story come to life. Then again this is coming from the same guy who can't wait for Toy Story 4 yet thinks Inside Out will be boring.
We still haven't gotten Lego 2 and you're already thinking about the 3rd
AMC Mail Bag - How Will Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver Be Introduced? Aaron Eckhart as Lex Luthor?
On today's AMC Mail Bag (Friday September 27th, 2013) we take the following user-submitted questions: Brian Buchmeier writes: Hey, all. Love the show and ...
The Lone Ranger movie was not a bomb it grossed $244,937,148 most recent
figures I saw on Wikipedia. Which is a high box office more than most films
and by the time on dvd rentals and sales, plus itunes, hbo, cinemax or
whatever will likely turn a profit. The problem was production cost not box
office. True Grit grossed $251,128,791 at the box office on a budget of
approximately $38 million. Lone Ranger most of way up there in sales but
way higher in production cost estimated at 225-250 million.
I'm talking about Amirose boring the pants off me, nah, she's ok really.
Each to their own but I do get this sense of tension she may have towards
John at times which is just uncomfortable to watch.I enjoy Schnepp, him and
Campea are worth listening to. But my god, Krisily. Now there's a girl with
nothing to say. She just chips in with her 2cents about how Twilight was
really good or something equally lame and ends almost everything with this
dumb nod of the head as if to underline its lameness
Has John read any Avengers comics, or X-Men ones for that matter? Scarlet
Witch is clearly an Avenger, has never been an X-Man, only appeared very
early on as part of Magneto's Brotherhood for a handful of stories, same
for Quicksilver, although he has more ties all over. The only things tying
either of them to X-Men is that they are mutants (pretty superficial in
essence) and the Magneto link. Fox have featured Magneto in every one of
their X films, and never shown an interest in them before.
Very true that hair and body weight can be changed as Mel Gibson have
proven. Having an open mind with casting choices is fine but if its far off
to start with audiences will be skeptical from the start. There are some
exceptions though where none this applies like Battlestar Galactica where
they pretty much completely reimagined it from nearly scratch. But if they
are not doing, in the case of an iconic character you risk the audience
being presented with (in their mind) a perfect stranger.
It dosent make me happy, its fact. If me and you are sitting in a room, and
i say youre a fucking moron, does that mean everyone thinks it? The role of
tanto is a NATIVE AMERICAN ROLE! youre taking what they say out of context
and trying to sound knowing.Since that movie was the biggest bomb in disney
history, i really dont know how you can challenge them on bad casting....
clearly, it was bad. If you want them to be hypocritical thats completely
youre decision and right. Are we done here?
The only changes he does to his acting is turn the dial from drinking buddy
to vulgar. When he plays a good guy, he turns it down, but when he plays a
tough/bad guy like in Training Day he cranks it up and the profanity
ensues. Maybe I was wrong to say he can't act. He CAN act, but only when
cast to a particular kind of role. He doesn't have the versatility to play
offbeat characters. Ex. Crowe from Gladiator to A Beautiful mind, or Hanks
The Terminal, Road to Perdition, and Forest Gump
LOL holy shit dude I mean wow you are soooo lost and confused. Doesn't
matter if that movie had other problems in it, it's the fact that they (or
John to keep you happy) say over and over that Depp wasn't good for that
role. You have to admit it is a little hypocritical of them (or John
whatever) to say that when they also say age, sex, race etc is not
important. And they say that ALL THE TIME You shouldn't say that age, sex,
race etc doesn't matter and then later say that about Depp.
Hey chaps, calm down. All John said on this subject is that you can change
things about a character as long as doesnt change the essence of that
character. With Lex Luthor for example, being bald doesnt define who he is.
With Tonto, being a Native American is an integeral piece of who he is but
casting a non NA was something that he didnt like. But the character is
still played as a NA, so John is ok to say he didnt like the Depp casting
and still be consistent with himself.
Batman could die in a prequel as Bruce's father could have been the
original batman the character the Bat was introduced in 1926 and Bob Kane
after being sued for copying it (Batman appeared in Detective comics in
1939) bought the rights to that character. Alfred could have trained him to
be the next Batman. Batman was suppose to be dead on TV series the Birds of
Prey and they already introduced Batman beyond which is another Batman
while Bruce was old and sickly.
I take it back, I was trolling for a fan back lash, didnt think youd
actually read that.. I did think you had a thing with John though, that was
true...it jseemed that the more he disliked a film the more youd praise it,
perhaps a little too much.. like Now you see me, it was good but even Erin
said you'd romantasised it a little I may have over analyised it a little
though..haha. Look, you can be that boring, I have watched pretty much
every day this year.
Batman Beyond is in the future just like Birds of Prey so they really don't
fit into my point about prequels as neither was a sequel to any of the
movies much less a prequel. As for a Batman prequel they can't have Alfred
train Bruce in a prequel after they established in the first movie how he
was trained as well as established how his parents died and who they were
so they couldn't just suddenly introduce the idea that Bruce's dad was also
Batman.
AMC MIDNIGHT MOVIE EXPRESS 2
The second AMC trailer I directed at my little commerical company back in florida in the late 80's. I think we spent a total of 60 grand for everything in this thing.
That's a *damned* clean transfer. Very nice. DId you not do the earlier one
of these? Or do you not have a master to transfer from? I'm reasonably
certain I have a 35mm print of this sitting in my other room, here; I *had*
both, and my RHPS cast (Crossroads 8, 1998) had *just* traded the volume
one trailer in for volume two when the theatre got closed down out from
under us; I never did recover vol one.
I was in the first one as the John Travolta character (that was cut out of
the final print). My drama teacher from Boca Ciega High School got me into
it. Great memories from the mid-80's. Thanks for posting this. I'm hoping
to someday see a good clean copy of the first one. Thanks Frank.
i gotta tell you frank....the original movie express was my absolute
favorite. i need to thank you for all of the fun you have brought to me
over the years with your so. florida stuff. you were great and i hope you
are still involved somehow in making people feel good. much love.
Thanks for posting - I never saw this one. I used to catch the original
after my shift at the Olive Garden in Daytona Beach. Group of us would go
after work to catch a flick. Wish there was a better quality part one on
youtube, but it was good seeing it at all.
YES!!! omfg I have been waiting FOREVER to find this!!! But I could have
sworn it ended differently... isn't there a scene where the evil looking
train is chasing them??
You must know, how much this was loved by all of us 'Paradise Players at
the Orlando AMC. If not, drop in RHPS Alumni gRich Weirdoes, the 'Rock now
at City for 10 years.
when did this appear in theaters? im guessing 1990
AMC Movie Talk - Potential Titles For MAN OF STEEL 2, New Trailer For MUPPETS: MOST WANTED
On this episode of AMC Movie Talk (Thursday November 21, 2013), along with Jimmy O from JoBlo, we discuss: -Man Of Steel 2 potential titles -Muppets: Most ...
agree with you. batman not create his own gadget and batsuit. he is not the genius and the world greatest detective. he don't have any emergency plan. the way he fought is weak.
If the tittle 'World's Finest", Dick Grayson maybe in the movie, because during 1940 the first World's Finest Comics involve Superman, Batman and Dick Grayson aka First Robin
Sad movies,,,,,,,Best Man Holiday!!! Mannnn...every woman in the theater
was in TEARS!!!! LOL I had to think about football and stuff during those
extra sad scenes..LOL Great movie though.
+Cap. Orange Soghda McGuffiepans yeah I know The Lion King is rip-off of Kimba The White Lion,The Iron Giant is a rip-off of Gigantor, The Day The Earth Stopped is a rip-off of The Day The Earth Stood Still, Alien vs Hunter ripped off Alien vs Predator and the House of 1000 Corpse ripped off The Hills Have Eyes (1977)
The Lion King is still a sad movie I mean think about it Mufasa's own brother wanted to kill him for kingdon his own brother and then Scar wanted to kill Simba, his nephew because he was next in line to become king he did alot of devious things to get Simba killed first he manipulate him into letting him go to the elephant graveyard to get eaten by hyenas and then he try to get him trampled by a bunch of wild antelopes did Kane and Able rung a bell to you when you watch The Lion King because to me it did
I'm superman fans more than batman and man of steel is my fav superhero
movie this year. However we must realise that in the justice league batman
that funded all activities of justice league with his money to create
satellite in space. Batman is among the genius person in justice league
Zack Snyder and David Goyer is the guys who respect source material and love comic books. I'm sure he will do justice with Lex Luthor in upcoming man of steel sequel :)
Superman is smart. However in the comics, batman always potray by the writer is the genius and great strategist. In the comics mention that batman is top 10 genius man on earth in DC universe. No 1 is lex luthor
AMC Mail Bag - Nightwing Reactions, Warcraft Movie Update
On this episode of AMC Mail Bag (Sunday November 10th 2013) John takes the following viewer questions: Benny Blanco writes: Great show dont stop doing it!
I have to tell you, I think it's good that Campea is leaving this show. I
was thinking back to that angry nonsensical rant recently and strangely I
can't find the video. In fact, the MB episode immediately preceding this
one is when that took place. That video is gone. If that wasn't an
overreaction (This movie is dead to me! It's going to be stupid!) then why
is it gone? See, in John Campea's world that's a normal reaction and
perfectly reasonable. To the rest of us however, it's an angry rant and
absolutely not proportionate to the issue at hand. I need help? I'm not the
one posting red-faced arm-flailing rants on YouTube over comic book movies.
Just saying, this kind of thing is not normal. Users have made compilations
of his rants. Seriously. It's not normal.
But it can be done. And if you don't think so you should do some research! It's only a matter of time considering the age we're living in and how fast movie themes change.
+Chris Adam Yes, because anime is so realistic. Yep, that instantly translates to a live-action blockbuster with mass appeal. That's why tens of millions of people watch anime in this country, right? Anime has so much general audience appeal that we constantly see primetime network anime shows and blockbusters in the theaters. Anime is a huge industry in America with hoards of people flocking to it.Oh wait, shit...
+Rei T haha ok, use your big bad words to hurt me, but just remember you created a new account just so you can tell me to go fuck myself, so yet again please get a life, cause every time you you try and make me mad i laugh at how pathetic your life must be.
But you're not an arsehole if you take that 14 year old kid who's already
going into fights with gangsters who have guns, and teach him how to not
die - then keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't get murdered.
+Ethan Smith LOL. So? It's a risky business. You can't be a soldier and tell people off for taking the incredibly risky career path of 'being a soldier'.
Honestly I don't see why Robin would not translate to the big screen. John
consider the Robin from Batman the animated series, obviously in his late
teens. To me Batman would not look like a douche at all having some 17 year
old that he trained for 5 or 6 years kicking ass along side him, BUT there
would be no room for error within the story, it would have to be pulled off
perfectly.
+Bluegohan147 Yup. If the kid has been brought up this way they're not going to be able to fit in in society anyway. The reason we protect kids is because they're innocent. If they're clearly not already, I can see the Dark Knight channeling that into something constructive rather than letting them go out on the streets alone.Besides, Bruce Wayne had a fucked up childhood too. It's not like he's joe average.
+shraka Yeah, just do pg 13 version of Hitgirl from the first Kick-Ass. I mean, using the argument of it would be too silly is redundant, we're already seen several movies of a guy dressed as a Bat, we've already crossed the silly path, doesn't mean it can't be awesome too. I hope John realizes that one day.
