Regarding the info about having to go through ALL weigh stations, that is
totally incorrect. Every state is different. Some states will require you
(as a rental truck) to go through the scales, some not. I know in
Washington State, you do NOT need to go through scales... and I got written
confirmation on that directly from the Washington State Patrol office.
Check with your state to find out for sure! Of course, when in doubt, drive
through the scales, they can always just wave you through.
