And people ask me why I use Ubuntu! I have known for many years that every
copy of Windows since Windows 95 OSR2 has had a backdoor embedded into the
operating system, but I had no idea Microsoft allows for real time
keystroke-by-keystroke monitoring. If a two-bit operation like the FDA is
doing this, can you imagine what the FBI is up to?
FDA Says Vegan "Just Mayo" Isn't Mayo...Hate Crime?
On August 25, 2015, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sent a letter to Hampton Creek, the creators of the vegan mayonnaise "Just Mayo", stating that their ...
So weird and interesting that it even matters what it's called. There's a
large brand mayonnaise here in Australia that has a 99% fat free version
that contains no egg (its actually inadvertently vegan) and it's still
called mayonnaise. If this matters so much I wonder if they can crack down
on things being called health foods that are anything but. ;)
+Kailah Louise We have this regulations in America to protect consumer interests. They enforce these naming rules so that they can't be abused by food companies with deceptive intentions. While "Just Mayo" is not inherently bad for consumers, the FDA has to play by the books to ensure that product names aren't abused and used to trick consumers. It also makes it convenient for them to regulate how these things are made, stored, and etc. All for food safety. It's not perfect, but it is something that helps protect consumers.
If you pick up a mayo, see there are no eggs in the ingredients, feel like
you Must buy one with eggs in, move on and buy the next one. Seriously.
It's that easy. This is a great thing to be able to buy when you simply
don't want to buy animal products and have allergies!
+Carys Thistlethwaite This is to protect consumer interests and lobbyist interest and they are just playing by the book. It is not inherently bad in this situation, but there could be other situations where products that aren't what they say they are may be a real issue for the consumer. So, they have regulations for what a product must contain to be called a certain name. I'm not speaking against this eggless product. I think it's great for someone like me that is transitioning.
+Veganomix It is better than nothing. They insure food safety to some degree. Not perfect, but I would rather have FDA than nothing. We enjoy a better quality of life thanks to the FDA. Just saying.
Metastatic Breast Cancer, Miracle Drug T-DM1 & Lobbying the FDA
By August 31, the FDA must make a decision to allow expanded access through an existing T-DM1 clinical trial. Or not. I've been traveling to Southern California ...
The FDA is a modern day geshtapo medical mofia. Their dishonest and
misdirected ways do not make them accessible to change. They are
unfortunately "stay put". My recommendation since you cannot pick up and
move there, find another way to control the cancer. There are ~400 cures
and preventive measures for cancer, so I suggest you be the one to open up
your options. You are welcome to write me at therapythatheals at yahoo.
I'ld be happy to support your continuing journey to health.
I forgot to include, not for money, but as a mitzvah / good deed.
FDA Threatens Just Mayo For Making Egg-Free Mayo
We couldn't believe this as well. The US Food and Drug Administration is cracking down on Just Mayo maker Hampton Creek for illegally calling their eggless ...
Dudes, Just Mayo has chemicals and freakin' canola oil in it. Don't get me
wrong, I buy canola oil by the gallon and it's a fantastic product for my
chain saws, light machinery oil, and other mechanical uses. But human
consumption of canola oil? Are you freakin' kidding me? I'd rather
consume used motor oil (not really), but for all you healthy Vegans out
there, don't you guys read labels? A little education would go a long
way. There's even some idiot commenting here that eggs are bad for you and
clog your arteries with cholestrol. Dude, go back to school. Learn how to
read. Learn how to research. Do your homework. Find out what really
causes arterialsclerosis. I'm starting to think Veganism is a cult.
As a vegan, I have to agree with you with the fact that it is really easy to get fooled by vegan, organic, no fat, sugar, etc company that unfortunately takes advantage of that new raise of conscience of people going vegan and makes it a little bit into a trend to make a buck. That is how I actually went to vegan ism if that's how people call it, so these company is a good help towards starters, but you need to educate yourself like Bourne Accident said and look into healthy choices and what is good for you. Is eating food with those bad oils in better than eating animal product? Yes / no. It is better not to arm the animal, but you are urging another, yourself. Ok, treats, like premodern foods, deserts, cigaret, liking a frog what ever is your thing, once a while will not kill you, right away, I guess, but taking the time to educate yourself will bring you to making more hefty decisions. Make your own stuff from scratch. Learn how, it's not that hard. May peace be with you.
I don't eat alot of mayo, but I personally prefer making it myself. I used
to like Miracle Whip and haven't been able to find a vegan mayo that
compares until I found a vegan recipe in a cookbook. No oil in mine, just
tofu and cashews along with lemon juice, sugar, salt and onion powder,
tastes great! Veganaise is probably the only vegan mayo that I like if I
buy it, though I have not tried Just Mayo. I can see how the egg on the
label and the word Mayo can be confusing, though, maybe they can just
change the label and name and be over it without having to shell out
millions in a lawsuit.
+Miko I get what you are saying. Any links you mind to share? From what I read, it is better to eat tofu as there is less hormones than meat products, but they say to keep it to a minimum since there is still concern about tofu. Is smoking weed better than taking cocaine? That's another topic. I really enjoy tofu, but I also experiences discomfort from eating to much of it. I am open to any links on the subject to expand my search. Thank you in advance. Any help is welcomed.
there's nothing wrong with tofu, please check out nutritionfacts videos on the subject. the issue has been overhyped. you'd have to eat tons of it every day to be affected in any way. I think there should be slot more concern about the hormones in milk.
That ^^Like said, you need to be careful with the oils. Also, may want to find a replacement also for the tofu, I like tofu, but it is not as healthy as you think. Thanks for your comment.
