CHEVY VOLT HYBRID vs SUBARU WRX TURBO - "freeway chase"
this was a quick chase chase of a VOLT HYBRID in my TURBO SUBARU... i was not really trying to pass him, i was just following him to see how hard the hybrid ...
The Volt is not just a "hybrid"; rather a fully powered electric car with a
range extending engine (it does not depend on the engine for power, unlike
virtually all hybrids before it); so it might have actually been in all EV
mode and not even running in hybrid mode so using no gas at all (it
performs virtually the same in either mode) Not a fast car by 0-60
standards...but 273 pound feet of near instant torque makes it respond
quick and feel quick in almost any driving scenario where many gasoline
cars might have engine and/or transmission lag = Volt is FUN TO DRIVE! :)
05 WRX STI BUILT Hybrid 272 cams first start up after build.
First start after build, If I look strung out, its because itd been a very very very long couple of days. Now its time to put a little break-in time on. After I get some kind ...
is this a joke?stock turbo in stock location sitting stock top mount
intercooler, looking at this engine it's bone stock,I doubt this car does
not even have a external waste gate
Bru do you even car. I've built two 4 banger turbos 400+ hp daily drivers. Neither of them had FMIC or external waste gates. The 4G63 never had any internals modified. And good troll jackass.
I hear what you mean. Keep in mind this is a brand new built engine running 980cc injectors with a stock fuel map. So the ROM was all out of tune for the build. I was please that it started up as quick as it did and the fact that the damn thing even ran. It was pouring fuel in. I can say it was way less (clanky) sounding once the engine heated up.
Are you meaning the cam lope or the piston slap? Billet pistons are noisy until the reach final size after heating up. My Camaro pistons are noisy sometimes too.
It's a stock location oversize. Honestly it's been so long I can't tell you who made it. It's probably on the build sheet. I keep records of all parts. If you get an eBay Chinese special. Make sure it's heavy gage and well built.
I ran it like that for a bit, but I could tell it wasn't producing as much boost as it should have, so I looked on a few forums and everyone that was running this bov with the stock tune said 6 washers will make it function properly with the stock boost application. Once I put the extra 2 washers in it ran perfect again.
Nope, just on the Turbo XS one, it comes with 4 washers pre-installed, but you have to add 2 more for it to work properly with the stock tune. Unless you meant stock tune then yes lol
Nope this bov doesn't require a tune, although I recommend using 6 washers in the tension spring if you were to get this one so your car won't lose any boost.
